fiction
Horror fiction that delivers on its promise to scare, startle, frighten and unsettle. These stories are fake, but the shivers down your spine won't be.
Another Edgar Allan Poe
From adolescence to the grave, Poe lived a tormented existence — visited by ghosts of disappointed hopes, haunted by death in love, by stupidity, by the almost madness of many of his gestures, by the vain expectation of success, security and happiness. In an indifferent world that valued money more than poetry, he found solace only in the annihilation of himself.

The Lost Island
Like a roaring engine blaring over the sound of everything happening around him, one thing stood out over the rest: His family. What would they say if he failed? What would they think if he never returned home? Sure, some might have found peace in the fact that should any of that come to pass, he would never have to know, but not Kyo. It was in the uncertainty of that possible future that made him now worry about the things in which he placed his value as opposed to the task at hand. Generations had come before him and fearlessly led the charge and come out victorious. Generation after generation, they carried their honor and victory to the next, and what if all that had simply led to nothing? What if it had all led to the only son of a retired soldier-turned fisherman dying out here in this place so far from all he knew? Kyo of course never wanted to carry that burden. He was content at home in his writings, but when the Emperor called their nation to action, he answered that call like his father and his before him. Unfortunately, that bravery was now overshadowed by his fear that was leading him closer to the edge of a cliff that was the current situation.

The Witch Of Foggy Bottom Lake....Part 1
Day 1 The day was beautiful, mostly because it was early fall, and the trees seemed to dance carelessly in the wind, their limbs heavy with foliage and full of color. The drive from Atlanta had been long, however the view up the mountain around the lake was breathtaking, and had been well worth the wait.

Is it all in my head?
All in my head Pt. 1 I wake to the sound of the creaky door. The pungent stench of cigarettes wafts through the air. His shadow creates a stretched out long black void as he stands in the doorway blocking the light. He clears his throat loudly, then turns his back to me and walks slowly out of the door.

Is it all in my head?
All in my head Part 2 Startled, I sit up. I reach into the darkness, scrambling for the lamp string, sending all the items from the night table crashing to the floor. I finally find what I am looking for and pull. Yellow light illuminates the room, as I look around frantically reassuring myself that the old man is gone. That I was only dreaming, and it’s all in my head. I let out a heavy breath, I can feel the panic leaving my body as I breath deeply, exhaling the pain away.

The Elderly ladies (True)
When this happened to me, I was 13 years old. So, I reside in Denmark, and my grandmother lives in Lithuania, so every summer, my mother and I travel there and live in our apartment. My mother and I share an apartment with my grandmother. So I was playing with my two Lithuanian buddies, who were 9 and 5 years old. As a result, they couldn't communicate in English as well as I could. But it was 10 p.m. and we were playing with a ball. Then an elderly woman walks over to a bench and stares at us. I didn't give it much thought, so I didn't tell my buddies. Then she rises up and walks towards us, and my buddies start staring at her. They rush up to the apartment section's entrance and hold it open. open for me, they begin yelling at me to come over to them. I'm at a loss for words, so I run in a circle to see whether the elderly woman is following me. And then something happened that made me want to hurry over to my buddies. She began to smile and look into my eyes. I dashed over to my buddies, checking behind me to see if the lady was following me. And she was still following me around with that strange smirk on her face. We shut the door.

The Samurai's Whisper
After pacing as fast as his heart, he dived behind a felled tree and peered over the mossed and cracking bark to see if there was anyone chasing him. Realizing he had bridged enough space between himself and them he placed the swords on the ground and began to crawl back over the footprint's he had left behind. After dragging himself through the dirt for about two minuets he began crawling backwards, rubbing away an covering his footprint's with the leaf and wooded debris that coated the floor.
