ANDIE
Wastelands of decimated populations fell before the smooth, silent propel of ANDIE. ANDIE had been gliding along the steel tracks of Europe since Outbreak IX had begun; fast and deliberate ANDIE’s crew had no intention of slowing down until a new green zone was formed. Until then ANDIE continued its new mission of transporting quarantined survivors, clearing them for safety and ensuring that a once overpopulated world could manifest some normality.

Silence
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. In space, its quite quiet. As our alien creatures search the galaxies for planets and beings to take over for countless millennia, our life forms travel from one sector of the galaxy to the next, on missions to take over the land and resources that those civilizations had, and also to eliminate the beings from the existence of the universe. Our creatures can't have any competition or other beings living amongst us or along with us. Its only us and only us. We are not like other beings in the universe. Many other beings look and act a certain way. Our creatures adapt. That's why we have been able to be hidden from the eyes of other beings in other universes. Our body structures changed through the course of history. There were moments in history where we were super short, and then shot up in height. Then there was a good time frame where we were super fast and super strong. But now we realized that all those qualities pale in comparison to the most important quality: silence. Because silence works wonders on the psyche of the enemy. It drives event the most sane, insane.

The Last Ride
His head was killing him. In the darkest recess of his mind, that was the only clear thought that was getting across. The headache. What he had to assume was the worst headache in his life. It was clouding his mind with a searing pain that he couldn’t stop. Hungover? Fight? Robbery gone wrong? Something worse? He didn’t know, but he didn’t think he would ever know unless he could get the headache to just stop. Was he dying? No. He wouldn’t go that far. He was still breathing, and the throbbing pain assured him very much that he was alive. He just needed to focus. Focus on something. Focus on anything. That would bring him back to the reality that he desperately needed to be a part of. He would wake up, take some pain meds, and sleep off the rest of the day. If there was still day left after the meds took over.

The Train To Forever
The pain was blinding. Or maybe I couldn't see because the night was just that dark. Either way, I could see nothing when I opened my eyes. There was only darkness, pain, moaning, crying and loud rumbling that surrounded me. The darkness and noise engulfed me and I closed my eyes again as the pain swept me back into the endless black abyss.

Pact to be Made
Sitting alone in an abandoned warehouse, I finished the last verse of the chant, the blood from my hand already drying black on the cryptic symbols sprawled across the floor. I knew it had worked as the runic symbols began to glow a deep crimson. Ash rose from the floor, slowly amassing, taking the shape of the one I wished to speak to. The surface smoothed, and before me stood the slim figure, wearing a crimson suit, he almost appeared human; save the curled black horns, nine-foot frame, pointed ears, and slate grey skin. Before me stood a demon, warden of the damned, ascended from hell.

The Forgotten Train
I awoke to a shrill shrieking noise. My head jolted so quickly as to ruffle the brim of my hat. With no idea how long I’d been asleep, I stood collecting myself as I prepared to intervene, only to lose my balance as the ground moved under me. I realized, or perhaps one cannot call it a realization so much as its opposite: that I had utterly no clue where or who I was. I was in a classic-looking railway car, and I had fallen to the ground like a babe from the womb in the hands of a particularly unqualified doctor, yet I stood again: a full-grown woman. I looked at the booth across from me, where a couple seemed not to have noticed my fall. I patted myself down and was quite pleased with what I found. I must have been some sort of athlete or builder, perhaps I was even military. My confidence became reinstated and my tight suit no longer uncomfortable.

Atelophobia
"Bathing under the warm sunlight feels like a spa, but all I can think is whether or not I deserve this kindness?", I said to myself. The warmth touches my skin and it helps me to wake up. Slowly I open my eyes, my vision starts to adjust and I look where I am. Sitting on a soft cushion seat as I gaze outside of the window, seeing the world passing by me. I stared deeply through the window and it calmed my heart. I wish I could stay like this and wonder onward.

The Trees Swallow People: Part 9
It had been days since we were trapped. What little light was managing to penetrate the forest of people outside my windows came in stages of intensity; soft bars in the morning, sharp beams by lunch, and an illuminating haze by dusk before quickly plunging the house into darkness. It felt like we skipped Summer with how early night came.

Beware the Bell
Chloe’s head throbbed, waking her abruptly. Stars danced before her eyes as she sat up on the edge of a rickety cot with gray, frayed blankets. She was in a small room, roughly five feet in any direction. A curtained window hung above the cot, which ran along the wall. The opposite wall held the solitary wooden door. The other walls were bare save for two oil lamp sconces. The wallpaper was dingy and faded, the original color or pattern no longer discernible.
