"A dystopian society"
In the year 2057, the world as we knew it had ceased to exist. A series of catastrophic events had ravaged the planet, leaving behind a dystopian society that was barely recognizable from the world that had existed just a few decades prior. The government had become corrupt, and its leaders had seized control of every aspect of society. The population was oppressed, and dissent was brutally crushed.

The Tunnels
Title: The Tunnels It was an old and decaying city, full of forgotten buildings and abandoned neighborhoods. Among the ruins was a network of underground tunnels, long forgotten by most of the residents. No one knew how deep they went or who had built them, but everyone knew to stay away from them. Rumors swirled about what might lurk in the darkness down there, and some even whispered of strange rituals and sacrificial offerings. But for the most part, the tunnels were left alone.

Simple Simon Says
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. At least, I didn’t think it was at first. As my hand and reflection met, making a ghostly hue around the fingers on the icy glass, I struggled to recall why I was here, cold and alone in this dark compartment.

The Drake House
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. I'd been poking around in this derelict of a home for over 2 hours and this was the first clue that there was anything here worth investigating. In fact, I was on my way to the front door when I realized the mirror was there, although I was sure I had walked by this wall.

The melting man
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. The horrific face in the freakishly freakin' mirror scared me half to death. Imagine your chocolate-brown, smooth and slightly aging, yet kinda still attractive face, being replaced by a creepy white guy with his face half melting and drooping so low, that his jawline practically meandered down to his chest. Whew! I know that is a really long sentence, but the guy was salivating and drooling and seriously scaring the crap out of me.

Through Reflections
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. I stared at the glass, my breaths shallow and quickening. The face staring back at me was unfamiliar, yet eerily similar to my own. The eyes were darker, the skin paler, and the expression was twisted into a sinister grin. I tried to look away, but the reflection held me captive. It was as if the mirror had a will of its own, refusing to release me from its grip.
