The Club Car
My body is cold. Like ice-needles pressed into my pores. I'm being rocked. No. Shaken? Swayed. Side-to-side. I'm sitting. Slumped? In what feels to be the softness of a leather chair beneath my left hand. My right, in my lap, directly below my heavy, drooping head. Lifting it proves to be a workout I haven’t prepared for. Tight muscles and creaking bones clue me in to the fact that I may have been assaulted. A sharp breath escapes between my clenched teeth at the searing pain making its way down the back of my neck.

Coffee Break
Jenny decided to go to Starbucks on her lunch break, it was about 12:23 pm the line was fairly long. There were about 15 people all together in line, Jenny was the last in line but she noticed the 6 ahead of her; a mother and her young son, a business man in his 30's flirting with a female co-worker of his, a gay man listening to music, and an elderly woman. The line was moving very slow as it was a busy time so she decided to look at the coffee/coffee cups displayed in the woven baskets. She notices that the gay man also was looking at a few metal tumblr cups, they had a lot of different styles and colors. After a few seconds, Jenny becomes bored with looking at the products and re-focuses her attention to the line which is still at a stand-still. Finally after about 7 or so minutes the line ahead moves but because of his music and attention on the tumblr cups the gay man didn't move ahead, naturally there was a few steps gap between the rest of the line and him but it wasn't the worst thing. Jenny decided to not speak up as the line wasn't going to go anywhere and if worst came to worst she'd just ask him to move up in the line. After the line moved a few steps again and the gay man was still not paying attention, the elderly lady decided to go around him and as she did she scoffed at him and spoke loudly as she went past,

Sing a Song
Laurie was shopping at her local Goodwill when she saw a beautiful red love seat with gold stitching, practically in perfect condition. She sat down and melted into the cushions, it was by far the best thing she's ever sat on. Not only was the couch as soft as a cloud, it oddly smelled like wild cherries. As Laurie sat pondering on whether or not to buy the love seat, she heard a faint melody thinking it was the stores music, Laurie decided that this love seat needed to be hers. Not only did she love a bargain but the love seat itself seemed to be calling out to Laurie. Sitting there she couldn't find herself to want to get up but the thought of someone else purchasing it wasn't acceptable so she walked to the cashier and told him that she would like to buy the love seat. The cashier puzzled, looked around and asked her

Late on a Saturday
Late on a Saturday night, Sandra was hanging out at her house with her fiance Noel and his friend Tommy. When suddenly there was a knock on the door, Noel got up from the couch where all three had been sitting. Opening the door, four guys with black ski masks and guns came barging in. Three guys run and surround Sandra and Tommy on the couch, while Noel had a gun to his head by the last guy. For a few moments, they all seemed frozen until the guy standing closest to Sandra sat grabbed her up by the arm, and he said -

We can cure your procrastination for wholesale
Pulling into his driveway on a nightly basis had taken on a more ominous tone in recent years for Jared Smallwood. He wasn’t so concern with his personal safety in his neighborhood. There were a few unsavory characters around. For the most part though, his neighbors were hard workers who paid their taxes and put in an honest day’s work. The neighborhood’s downside was that there were frequent loud house parties on the weekend. When these parties did occur, Jared was often greeted by a young housewife at the door the following morning. With a cheery disposition, the young lady would apologize profusely for causing so much noise the previous evening. In addition, she’d promise to keep the noise down in the future. But in the eight years that he’d lived on the block that future had never seemed to materialize. However, his primary source of dread occurred was not out in the neighborhood, but rather when he stepped through his own front door.

Royal Blood (Part 2)
The blade of a large kitchen knife is wavering after being lodged into the crevice between two bricks in the wall with a loud “SHICK!” sound. The head of a woman, a kitchen maid, is just underneath the blade. A few strands of hair float to land on the kitchen counter. The girl spins to look at the source of the flying weapon. She screams.

A Bloody Little Black Book
I watched my breath materialize in front of me as I ran, my throat stinging and raw from the cold air, my lungs expanding and contracting within my chest. The park was deserted this late at night, save a few teens smoking weed down on the creek bed, I heard their faint laughter as I sprinted farther away from them down the trail, trying to keep pace. The trail curved, leading me deeper and deeper into the woods, as the sky darkened above me. I knew it was dangerous for a woman to run alone in the dark, but with my work schedule it was the only spare time I had for myself, and oh, how I loved the silence. And the endorphins.
