I talked about the animation quality in the last episode, Although it didn't improve much I thought the storyline of this episode was the best of the series. I am bummed with the animation quality, it went from a work of art to a moving manga. I guess this is how the Blue Lock fans felt with the release of season 2. The spiral is taking over the town, With a combination of whirlwinds and whirlpools, but the most deadly force of evil is the people. We see people turning into snail people, and others eating them, people forced to jam into what houses are left and being twisted up with no ability to escape, and people who are taking advantage of the chaos.

Reporters, volunteers, and rescue boats were unable to escape from the spiral curse. While people try to escape they are finding all the roads have turned into spirals. We see what people do when they are pushed to the limits. What would you do to survive?

They turned their once normal and peaceful town into a spiral of houses all connected. Packed with people interconnected, trapped together, and unable to get untangled.

This storyline is the most disturbing by far, it made me feel off after watching the horror unfold in front of me. I felt so bad for the little brother and what happened to him.

Overall I felt as if the first episode was the best, it got me excited to see the story unfold. However, like Ninja Kumi, I was disappointed. Animation quality dropped significantly which almost ruined the show for me. I understand why the ratings dropped so much as the show went on. I am glad it's only 4 episodes to end the story quickly, I am not sure I could have watched more.

Rating:

IMDb: 7.1/10

Anime-Planet: 3.4/5

My Review: I felt as if the first episode baited you into this series. It was incredible. However, as the episodes continued the animation quality dropped dramatically. The storyline went way too fast as well. With all of that being said I do believe it is worth watching if you are a fan of horror. It is only 4 episodes and it is peak horror. If you aren't a fan of the animation read the manga.

What were your thoughts on Uzumaki? Do you think it lived up to the manga?
