The Haunted Hotel

Title: “The Haunted Hotel”

Sam and Lisa were a young couple who loved to travel and explore new places. They decided to spend their anniversary at a historic hotel in a small town that was rumored to be haunted. They thought it would be a fun and exciting adventure.

They checked in at the reception and were greeted by a friendly old man who gave them the key to their room. He also warned them not to wander around the hotel at night, as there were many strange and unexplained things that happened there. He said that some guests had reported seeing apparitions, hearing voices, and feeling cold spots.

Sam and Lisa laughed and thanked him for the advice. They didn’t believe in ghosts and thought it was all part of the hotel’s charm. They went to their room, which was spacious and elegant, with antique furniture and a fireplace. They unpacked their bags and decided to take a nap before exploring the town.

They woke up a few hours later and got ready to go out. They locked their room and headed to the elevator. As they waited, they noticed a plaque on the wall that said the hotel was built in 1890 and had been the scene of a tragic fire that killed several guests and staff. They shuddered and wondered if the hotel was really haunted.

They got into the elevator and pressed the button for the ground floor. The elevator started to descend, but then it suddenly stopped and the lights went out. They heard a loud thud and felt the elevator shake. They screamed and panicked, thinking they were trapped.

They tried to press the emergency button, but nothing happened. They tried to call for help, but no one answered. They tried to pry open the doors, but they were stuck. They felt a cold breeze and heard a faint whisper in their ears.

“Welcome to the hotel. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.”

They realized they were not alone in the elevator. They felt a presence behind them, breathing down their necks. They turned around and saw a horrifying sight. It was a ghost, a woman in a white dress, covered in blood and burns. She had a twisted smile and a knife in her hand.

She was the ghost of the hotel’s owner, who had set the fire on purpose to collect the insurance money. She had killed her husband and guests, but had died in the flames herself. She had been haunting the hotel ever since, killing anyone who stayed there.

She lunged at Sam and Lisa, stabbing them repeatedly. They screamed and bled, but no one heard them. They died in the elevator, joining the other victims of the haunted hotel.

The next morning, the receptionist found their bodies and called the police. He told them that they were the tenth couple to die in the hotel in the past year. He said that he had tried to warn them, but they didn’t listen. He said that he was sorry, but he had to keep the hotel open. He said that he had a deal with the ghost. He said that he was her son.
