Maxine is now in the decade of the ’80s, finally gaining the opportunity to star in a horror movie.

Things are finally looking up for her. After what she went through in the past, she deserved to gain the spotlight she has been searching for!

Unfortunately, Maxine finds herself being hunted down once again, by two men. One of them was hired by a mysterious madman, a mysterious man, dressed in all-black, who murders people that Maxine knows or cares about.

Maxine desperately tries to avoid this confrontation, as she desires to become a movie star, and no longer cares to put herself in a horrible situation, due to her trauma from what she went through in the first film, X.

No matter how much she tries to avoid running into this new killer, she is pulled into this cycle of evil. She decides that she must do whatever it takes to survive again, and enlists the help of her own manager from the adult industry to help her kill the first dude that was hunting her.

He aids her without hesitation, by putting the bastard inside of a machine in a junkyard that crushes cars to a pancake. They watch as he slowly succumbs to his death, and wow, this part was so damn brutal.

Maxine then decides to finally confront the mystery killer. She stumbles upon an old video of herself, when she was a child. This part of the film shocked me when the killer was revealed.

The twist of the villain was really shocking; I loved how this reminded me of an 80s slasher where the killer reveal is always the most insane part!

The killer is her father.

Maxine obviously freaks the hell out, and attempts to escape from this person, but gets knocked out by her father.

She wakes up and realizes that she is now being held hostage by this monster, along with a cult that shares her father's beliefs.

What happens next was such a great finale.

A battle royale begins between two detectives that were desperate to speak to Maxine throughout the film, Maxine herself, and the cult. All three parties get into a bloody fight, determined to survive the night.

Maxine decides that in order to fully be safe for the rest of her life, she must kill her father. The two detectives are killed by her father during the chase, but Maxine gets the upper hand. A helicopter hovers over her as she is holding her father hostage with a gun. She looks up at the light, picturing herself as a movie star.

Maxine shoots her father, ending the madness once and for all. Maxine is pretty crazy and is willing to do anything to survive any confrontation. Watching her make her final decision was so satisfying, and wow, was it a great gore fest!

The film ends with Maxine's wish coming true.

Maxine gets her happy ending, finally being able to live the life she always wanted. After one month of the bloody battle, she is now filming the horror movie that she is the main star in.

She appears quite content with her life, proudly watching the crew mold a fake decapitated head of her character for the horror movie. For me, this ending was perfect.

The 80s aesthetic was incredible, and I had a lot of fun with the 80s soundtrack. Watching Maxine embark on a new horror journey to take down the new evil was great to watch.

Mia Goth truly did an amazing job playing this iconic character! I will truly miss her as Maxine!
