Words for the Dead
What I'm about to share with you is what happens to man with no interactions, nothing to share, nowhere to go and nothing to do. After such a time, the human mind molds to its surroundings to the point where it doesn't even know it's alone anymore. This is a brief, yet never-ending look on the inside of a desolate life to some, but to one man, a carousel of very much unwanted attention.

Survival Journal Entry Three
No journal entry yesterday because not much happened so it will just go in with today's. Our scavengers came back and gave a full debrief of what happened when they were attacked. It turns out that the San Bernardino crew has some serious fire power so if we are going to try and take them on, we are going to need to be very cautious and prepared. I'm thinking that we need to meet in an open area so that our snipers have a clear line of sight and flanking will be hard. Our marksmen are probably the only way that we can get out of the encounter alive. We sent Carl out to see if he can find out where their main base is.

Review: 'A Quiet Place'
While horror is a genre I don't find as much success in, if it has a great concept, then I am up for checking it out. This latest one has a particular idea that seemed to have the potential to have strong crowd participation in order to get a highly memorable experience.

Through the Flames (Pt. 4)
No rest. Arthur slept restlessly, dreaming about his family, his town, the fire that engulfed everything around him, the panic he felt, the fear that gripped at his heart. He relived the whole ordeal over and over again in his dreams. Not the most restful night sleep he has ever had to say the least.

7 Abandoned Asylums That Are Definitely Haunted. Top Story - April 2018.
The abandoned asylum is the quintessential horror movie setting; crumbling buildings where humanity's most helpless members were shut away, abused, neglected, and experimented on. Quite a few of these sites are rumored to be haunted, and honestly, it's not surprising. After all, thousands of people suffered greatly in these places, and some things don't go away when the doors close.

Wailing Children
I was laying in my bed. I was aboard a north-bound train. All of a sudden I heard a little voice speak. It whispered, “Have you heard of the wailing children?” I froze. I looked to my left and saw a little girl. Her dress was old. Like 1800s old. I sat up very slowly.

The Girl
You wake up in a room in a panic. It’s not your bed, nor your room, but it seems to have claimed you. You have no idea how you got here. But here you are. Almost like you were born here and that you belong here. That you are never meant to leave this room, or something will happen; something that you don’t want to happen. The thread bare mattress releases you without a fight, but you feel it watching you, wanting to hold you. Almost there are fingers reaching out from the mattress to pull you back to it. It seems to know what is coming, and it wants to protect you; to keep you safe from whatever is on the outside.

Survival Journal Entry Two
Mourning time is over. Everyone got this morning off in order to try to clear their heads but we needed to move on. We started construction on the wall this morning and it seems like it will take all day today and tomorrow and maybe some of Tuesday as well. Early this morning we sent out Carl on horseback to try and find another horde and see when it might arrive. When he got back, he said there was a horde about 50 miles to the east, so it should give us enough time to get the wall back up and get the guard schedule back to normal.

Monsters
Your body kind of sways to the sound of music heard in the distance as you clutch your gun closer hoping the twitters in the shadows heard down the alleys to each side of you aren’t monsters stalking you for dinner. I know what it is to fear those sounds that are echoes of memories from when you were little and hiding under the covers in mommy and daddy’s room because there were always skittering, twittering, scratching noises all around your room. Sounds that ignited into life the second the night light ran out of juice after your parents turned off the big lights for bedtime.

A Broken Record
Have you ever felt like a problem? Like, you never mattered to anyone in your life? They always tell me to keep my chin up and that it couldn't get any worse. Every time I try to talk to them about my problems, they'll call me a broken record. Always saying that I repeat myself, that my sadness and fears are in my imagination. To them, depression isn't a disease. No, it's a made-up thing that people like me use to get out of doing things. Whenever one of my spells hit, my mother will call into my room saying: "Get up, Dean! I know you're faking!" Truth is, I'm not. You can't fake this, depression isn't easy to fake. When I don't want to get out of bed most days, my dad will barge in and drag me out of bed and onto the cold floor. He says I'm too young to be depressed, he always tells me that sixteen-year-olds pretend to be depressed so they can get out of going to school or to get out of chores.
