Love, Betrayal, & Evil
"Kai," she yelled as she caught sight of him and his long dark brown, wavy hair and bright smile. She ran towards him, her tears glistening her face. Joy, relief, content, and sadness ran through her veins. She could see no one else as he outstretched his arms awaiting her touch. But something seemed wrong as she approached him, getting closer and closer. His eyes were coal black and churning with emotion she didn't quite recognize on him. His arms looked more threatening than embracing. Was it all her imagination? He looked dark and filled with twisted evil. His lips, no longer a loving smile, showed a snarled, evil, smirk. She was now standing face to face with him. This isn’t Kai, she thought. Her heart beat faster as she tried to take a step back. But he already had a tight grip on her forearm. His touch felt like ice. She shivered as she felt the pulse of evil shudder through her body. His cold hands wrapped around her neck. She felt her lungs contract as she tried to breathe. She tried yelling for help but couldn’t find enough air to make words. Why isn’t anyone helping me?! Someone help! Can’t you see me? Why can’t you see me, she thought wildly. She could see the tourists and city people walking past in her peripheral vision. She saw the taxi screech to a halt before it could hit the pedestrian. She saw the lights change from green to red. Why couldn’t anyone else see her? She felt herself slipping. Slipping into a dark instated trance. She had no strength in her. No one would save her. Here stood the love of her life, her best friend, strangling her to death. His twisted, evil smile and coal black eyes would be the last thing she ever saw. Burned into her eternal memory. At last, she struggled to breathe out her last breath and closed her eyes. This is it, she thought, I forgive you Kai. I love you... and she sank into an eternal, dark oblivion.

The Ghost in the Garden
The ghosts had dragged themselves home. Alby sat by the gold-dusted roses, drinking the orange rays of a sun that wasn't quite ready to give up the day. The bees rose up and down over the hedgerows as if drifting on a warm current. If this was heaven, he thought that would be okay. He liked it here, far more than he liked the church. It was cold in there and outside, gravestones cast long shadows on the grass and when he drifted through he felt as if he could slip into the dark shapes and never leave. The thought scared him. Here, he wasn’t scared. The house was too far away— he enjoyed losing himself amongst the first and the bluebells and the far smell of a dying bonfire. And Ethan. He liked to watch him tend the leaves that were beginning to seep into the grass. Ethan was trimming one of the small trees, closer to the house. Alby let himself rise and he drifted through the nats and the dust and the sun and sank again next to the fountain. The water was dangerously low in the basin and what was left was a strange shade of cool green. The same green had crept up the sides, infecting the surrounding concrete with patches of wet moss. Alby didn’t mind—he'd overhead Ethan telling the lady of the house that he'd like to clean it up, fix the pump, and make it shiny and new again. “It will do a hell of a job at keepin' them nats away, ma'am,” he'd said. “They like still water, you see. You get that fountain going and they soon clear off.”

The Mystery of the Casa Grande Domes
I'm a paranormal freak. I love stories about the paranormal, especially ones that are true ones. My favorite stories are ones based on urban legends. Urban legends like the Mothman or the Haunted Highways are mysterious and fascinating. Mysterious, in that no one knows how they got started, but are prevalent in their geographical area. Fascinating, because so many people have had their own personal experiences, making one wonder if the stories are actually true.

Save Me
The straps are too tight on my wrists. My ankles are trapped by wraps and wraps of metal. I squirm and try and get out with no success. That’s when he walks in. The man in the white coat. My eyes dart towards him and scan his body. He’s going to hurt me again, I just know it.

'Werewolf Rising'
Produced by Ruthless Films, 2014's Werewolf Rising is the story of a young woman trying to overcome addiction by going back home to her her family cabin in the Arkansas forest. That's right. I chose this one strictly on the location where the film was shot and takes place. It's not often that we actually get a film set in Arkansas that was actually shot here. Arkansas is usually a double for somewhere else, which is a bit disappointing, but let's get into the film in question.

'Supernatural'
Supernatural first started airing in 2005 and is still airing. If you haven't seen this show, it's about two brothers following their father's footsteps as "hunters", fighting evil, supernatural beings of many kinds, including monsters, demons, and gods that roam the Earth. Now I’m going to list some interesting facts about either the show or the cast.

Overrated Horror Movies
Sometimes the media picks the wrong movies to admire. I often find myself shocked as to how people can like these movies but everyone has different taste. However, these movies have been heavily adored for not even being frightening to some.

'You Better Have Change for a Fifty'
It is worth pointing out that I have seen the film adaptation of this book multiple times and therefore I am approaching its key ideas and messages from a slightly different perspective than someone to whom the book is completely new. With that out of the way, I'll begin.
