The Light Within the Abyss
“We were told to investigate the university, to find out what the source of the noise was. Something along the lines of hearing screams coming from the left wing of the historical/ scientific hall. The janitor had placed the call around midnight, telling the operator that he had seen a group of what looked like students going in. Not too long after, he heard screaming so unnerving that it made him run to the other side of the wing to call 911.

'The Silence' - A Review (Netflix)
How did Stanley Tucci end up in this? He needs to speak to his agent. Not that the rest of the cast cannot act, they undoubtedly can. John Corbett—a name not as well known as Tucci’s, but an actor whose face you will know—has appeared in far better fare than this, and also should be speaking to his agent.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Pet Sematary' (2019)
Jesus fucking Christ, Jete' Laurence is fucking creepy. Can we take a minute to appreciate, that at no point, did she fuck this role up with a Silent Hill moment? That speaks volumes for her talent as a little actress. Hope she carries it.

Can the Paranormal Be Psychological?
The existence of ghosts is widely debated in our world. Many documented events occur in haunted locations where individuals see, hear, and experience the same things which allow many to assume this landmark is haunted. However, could this be a case of worldwide conformity and psychological manipulation rather than lived incidents?

The Message of 'Pet Semetary'
One of the biggest issues with remaking a film is when the spirit of the original gets lost in the mix. 1989 saw the release of the film adaptation of one of Stephen King's career defining novels, Pet Semetary. The book was one that King, himself, was reluctant to release, but did so to fulfill a contractual obligation. He was reluctant not because he thought it was subpar, but rather because he thought it was too scary. It scared him.

'Pet Sematary'—Film Review
Stephen King’s cult classic novel, Pet Sematary, has been resurrected for the second time. Thirty years on from the first adaptation, the release of Kolsch and Widmyer’s chilling new spin on the gruesome tale has polarised opinions. Such a response is unsurprising, given the daring alterations to both the plot, and the characters. Did the alterations pay off, or is dead really better?

The Wake
He had no idea why he said what he said. The words just sort of tumbled out before he could stop them. And there he stood, staring into amber eyes that were now brimming with tears. Eyes that so formerly had been filled with grief, which were now sparking with anger and shock. Shock that he, too, felt course through him, sharp as a lightning bolt in an open field.
