Is There a 12-Step Program For Horror Addicts?
I was nine when I was bitten by the bug. The year was 1973. My dad was driving my mom, two brothers and me to a cousin’s house. It was nearly midnight in Denver, and braving the weather back to nearby Aurora was a tremulous consideration at best. The snow was too thick and piling quickly. The streets were icy, the drive white-knuckle. Thankfully, my cousin was still awake.

'The Grudge' Review—A Bland Reboot
Hollywood has an unwritten tradition of releasing a terrible horror movie in the first week of January; in previous years, we've had Escape Room, Insidious: The Last Key, The Forest, and The Woman In Black 2: The Angel of Death. This year's bad horror film? The Grudge.

Family Portrait
Family Portrait By Amanda Orive. Falling. Falling without gravity. Darkness and suffocation. That was what she had known, until she landed. Lies! So many smiles, trapped in two dimensions. Stuck in Between
They say everyone prays before they die. Although, I never got the chance to, my last breath was taken from me before I knew what was even happening. I had been sick for the first weeks of snowfall. I could see my rib cage bones; they were sticking out farther than they usually would or even should. A week had gone by and my family had only seen me awake, maybe three times.

Whatever happened to Elisa Lam?
The tale of Elisa Lam is as baffling as it is disturbing. Whilst, on the surface, this is a story of tragedy and human error, a closer look reveals that all is certainly not as it seems. Inexplicable activity and a history of horror mean that, in the eyes of some, it was only a matter of time before the Cecil Hotel claimed another victim. And yet, like many unnatural incidents, the opening chapters of the saga were without drama.

Do You Believe in Ghosts?
When I was growing up, my younger sister insisted she had met a ghost. She and her best friend would go and play in this abandoned house in the neighborhood (super dangerous and I should have reported it to Mom, but I didn’t). She insisted that a ghost lived there by the name of Marvin and that he would come out and talk to them.
