I Found My Roommate's Secret TikTok and Now I'm Terrified

My roommate's TikTok account has 50k followers watching her 'collect specimens' from women around town. The latest jar contains hair that looks exactly like mine.

okay so this literally just happened and I'm sitting in my car outside a 24 hour diner because I can't go back to my apartment right now

my roommate Chloe Parker has been acting super weird lately. like weirder than usual and that's saying something because she's already pretty strange. we've been living together for about 8 months and she's always been kinda antisocial but lately she's been straight up avoiding me

she works from home doing some kind of freelance graphic design stuff so she's always in her room with the door locked. which whatever, I get it, I need my space too. but recently she's been getting these packages delivered like every single day. amazon boxes, weird unmarked packages, stuff from companies I've never heard of

and the smell. oh my god the smell coming from her room is getting worse every day. it's like... rotting flowers mixed with chemicals? I asked her about it and she just said she was "working on a project" and got all defensive

so anyway yesterday I'm cleaning the living room and I find her phone wedged between the couch cushions. she must have dropped it when she was rushing to get another package from the door. the screen was cracked but it was still on and I could see she had TikTok open

I know I shouldn't have looked but I was curious what kind of content she was into. maybe it would help me understand why she's been so weird lately

what I found made my blood turn to ice

her TikTok account is called @ChloesCollection and it has like 50k followers. the bio just says "preserving beauty forever โœจ๐ŸŒธ"

the videos are all the same format. she's in what looks like her bedroom but the lighting is all weird and pink. she's wearing this vintage white dress that looks like it's from the 1950s. and she's talking to the camera in this super soft whisper voice that doesn't sound like her at all

"hi my beautiful followers" she always starts. "today I want to show you my newest addition to the collection"

then she holds up these glass jars. mason jars filled with what looks like water and... things floating in them. at first I thought they were flowers or plants but when I looked closer I realized they were pieces of hair. long strands of different colored hair floating in some kind of clear liquid

"this one came from a girl with the most beautiful auburn curls" she whispers to the camera. "she was walking alone after her shift at the coffee shop on elm street. she had such lovely hair I just had to have a piece"

I kept scrolling through her videos and they're all like this. jar after jar of hair samples. blonde hair, brown hair, red hair, black hair. all floating in these mason jars lined up on shelves in her room

but it gets worse

in some of the videos she shows other things. fingernail clippings. pieces of jewelry. scraps of fabric that look like they were cut from clothes. all organized in these neat little containers with handwritten labels

"sarah from the grocery store - such pretty blue eyes" "melissa from yoga class - lovely laugh" "jennifer from the bus stop - beautiful smile"

and the comments. oh god the comments are the worst part. hundreds of people encouraging her. asking for "tutorials" on how to "collect specimens." sharing their own photos of similar jars and containers

"omg queen your collection is goals ๐Ÿ˜" "can you do a room tour? I want to see your whole setup" "I started my own collection because of you! thank you for the inspiration"

I'm scrolling through months of these videos and I realize she's been documenting everything. following women around town. filming them from a distance. taking close up shots of their hair and hands and faces without them knowing

then I get to a video from last week that makes me drop the phone

it's me

I'm walking out of my apartment building heading to work. the camera is filming me from across the street and zooming in on my face. chloe's voice whispers "my roommate has such beautiful dark hair. I see it every day and I just want to touch it. soon I'll add her to my collection"

the video has 15k likes and hundreds of comments talking about how "lucky" she is to live with such a "perfect specimen"

I'm literally shaking as I'm watching this. I scroll to her most recent video posted this morning. it's her room again but this time she's holding up a mason jar with dark brown hair floating in it. hair that looks exactly like mine

"I finally got a sample from my roommate" she whispers. "she was sleeping so peacefully. she never even woke up when I cut it. isn't it beautiful?"

I reach up and touch the back of my head. there's a section of hair that's definitely shorter than the rest. I thought I just slept weird last night but now I realize she was in my room. while I was sleeping. cutting my hair

I'm about to call the police when I hear a car door slam outside the diner. I look up and see chloe's beat up honda civic pulling into the parking lot. she's wearing that same white vintage dress from her videos and she's staring right at me through the window

her phone starts buzzing in my hand. new TikTok notification

@ChloesCollection just went live

I click on it and see myself sitting in this diner booth. she's filming me from her car. the live chat is going crazy with people saying things like "is this the roommate?" and "she looks scared lol"

chloe gets out of her car and starts walking toward the diner. she's carrying a large mason jar and some kind of tool that looks like scissors

the live stream title says "collecting my final specimen ๐ŸŒธโœจ"

I'm calling 911 right now but I don't think they're going to get here in time. if anyone sees this please send help. I'm at the denny's on route 47 outside of town

she's almost at the door

the live viewer count just hit 20k people watching

I can hear her humming that same soft melody from her videos

oh god she's coming inside

UPDATE 6 hours later:

hey everyone it's me again. I'm safe now thanks to everyone who called 911 after seeing my post. apparently like 50 people called in my location after I posted this which is honestly amazing

chloe was arrested at the diner. turns out she had a whole setup in her car with jars and tools and zip ties. the police found her room and it was exactly like in the videos. hundreds of jars with hair and personal items from women all over town. she'd been stalking people for over a year

the really messed up part is that her TikTok account is still up. the platform says it doesn't violate their community guidelines because she never showed actual violence. just "collecting specimens" which apparently falls under some weird loophole

there are copycat accounts popping up now. people inspired by her videos starting their own "collections." the hashtag #ChloesCollection has millions of views

I'm staying at my sister's place for now. probably going to move to a different city because honestly this whole thing has me paranoid about everyone

to the people asking if this is real - yes it's real. I can't share the police report because the case is ongoing but you can look up "tiktok stalker arrested route 47" and you'll find news articles about it

please be careful out there. check your social media. look over your shoulder. trust your instincts when someone seems off

and maybe don't live with strangers you found on craigslist

stay safe
