They can sometimes ruin the experience of the story.

I cannot stand love triangles in horror stories.

While some of them are so well written, and never get in the way of the story taking place, some of them can sometimes ruin the experience.

I have gone through this so many times, and I find myself getting so fed up, to the point where I don't care to watch the movie or TV show anymore. It's so annoying, and it's a huge shame this happens with love triangles, because some of these horror stories are so damn good.

But it all gets ruined, all because of the stupid romance taking place with either a woman or a dude, who can't make up their freaking minds.

One particular story that completely ruined the experience for me was a book, called, "This Delicious Death."

We follow the story of a new world, where people can suddenly transform into monsters, wanting to consume human flesh. It's treated like a disease, and it can be quite deadly once their hunger gets activated, because no one around them is ever safe.

This premise sounds awesome, right?

The love triangle ruined the entire book for me.

The main character is a young woman, who is in love with two different people. Her best friend who is a woman, and a random guy she meets one day. Her biggest concern is this love triangle, during so many scenes in the book. Instead of being worried about accidentally eating a person when she transformed, she focuses so much on the thought of who she wants to be with.

There is one scene that pissed me off so much.

While they are trying to figure out why some people are struggling to fight the urges of eating people, she loses focus of the plan, once the main character finds herself in the same room with her two love interests. She struggles to keep it together, because she is too caught up in this love triangle.

Doesn't this sound kind of dumb?

I know that the main character is a young woman, but why the hell would she be more concerned about who she wants to be with? I would have been so terrified, wondering when I'm going to snap again and rip someone apart. It's bad writing as well, because it doesn't make any sense.

This love triangle made the crazy scenes not that suspenseful anymore, and I was so mad, because the concept of eating a person while transforming into a beast was fantastic.

And now I'm planning to sell this book, because I don't ever see myself going through the love triangle torture ever again.

One movie that actually turned the love triangle into a sudden joke was surprisingly one of the infamous Predator vs. Alien movies.

A love triangle was thrown in, a teenage love triangle that should never have been in the movie. But the writers had a nice surprise in store for the viewers, and I thought it was genius.

While the teenagers are trying to get away from the situation of two aliens fighting in their small town, disaster struck. While the group is trying to get away, the girl caught in the love triangle gets killed by one of the Predator's weapons, by accident.

I burst out laughing in this scene, and I was so relieved, because the love triangle was so freaking stupid. I'm so glad the writers pulled off this trick, because I'm sure that they purposely did this, to give their fans relief over this silly story now being over. I even heard a personal story from a friend who told me had gone to watch this movie in the theaters, and when the girl died, the audience started cheering.

Now that is how you write a love triangle.

Solve the problem by killing one of them.

It's that simple.
