Fate of the Black Book
Nothing comes easily unless you work for it.

It was a cold and exhausting day. Sitting by her desk all Kella could think about was moving out immediately. She has so desperately wanted to move out and started living on her own. It wasn’t at all bad living with her sister but now that she’s got a job and she has enough money she now feels she could finally leave and start living on her own. Looking through some of the listings near her sister she comes across a house not far from her sisters. A 25 minute drive from where she is. It was incredible. The price was very low and the house was in absolute great condition. It was small and cute, exactly what she needed. However, it’s location was a bit isolated. Not much houses nearby but kella, being the antisocial person she is, and a lover of peace and quiet didn’t mind it one bit. The house however was pending and she immediately clicked on the house and emailed the agent. With fingers crossed she could only hope the other interested party changes his or her mind. Looking into her laptop the door unlocked and her sister, Macy enters and kella comes running out of her room with a big smile on her face, “guess what!” Said kella. As Macy was about to open her mouth, kella said, “I found a house and it’s perfect! It’s only 25 minutes from you so I can visit you or you could visit me whenever you want. Isn’t that great?” Rubbing her head, Macy walked towards her and gestured towards the laptop and kella quickly ran to the desk and grabbed the laptop and walked towards Macy with an excited look on her face. Macy looked at the house and nodded, “not bad, but it’s a bit too isolated, aren’t you afraid some perv would start spying and stalking you?” Kella laughed and said she’d be absolutely fine and that she is more than capable of taking care of herself. Looking at kella Macy smiled and nodded her head in agreement. “Go to sleep, we got an early day tomorrow. Drop me off at work and you can go check it out” Macy said as she walked into the bathroom. Kella walked back into her room and with a smile on her face she closed her eyes and went to sleep.
Beep beep beep!
Beep beep beep!
Beep beep beep!
A loud knock on her door woke kella up and she heard Macy yelling for her to wake up and get ready cus she can’t afford to go into work late again. Slowly getting off her bed she headed towards her door and opened and headed straight into the shower as Macy kept screaming from the kitchen. Kella quickly took a shower and went into her room, dressed up, went back into the restroom, quickly applied on some makeup, fixed her hair as quickly and neatly as she possibly could, and ran down into the kitchen as she caught her sister already walking outside to the car l, the door closing behind her. She quickly grabbed a piece of bacon and toast and ran out to the car where Macy had already started it up looking as impatient as ever. She got in the car and Macy hit the gas and off they go. Parked by Macy’s workplace, kella gave her a hug and Macy wished her good luck and waved goodbye. She was really excited and she was hoping the other buyer changes their mind. She was now two minutes away. Biting her lip she came to face with a dirt road. It was where her gps was leading her. A bit hesitant, she stepped on the gas and followed the gps’s direction to follow the dir road. Driving slowly and looking around, she could see some houses hidden in the woods than she comes to the final house at the end of the fort road. It was beautiful. So cute. Exactly what she was hoping for. A car was parked outside the house and getting out of the car she was greeted by a woman coming out of the house. “Hi my name is Linda Hart, and you must be Kella Sherman am I correct?” Kella nodded and greeted her as well as they walked up the steps of the house leading to the door and before entering, Linda stopped and looked at Kella and asked her if she had any questions. Kella started out by asking if there were other interested parties. Linda than told her that there were but they changed their minds and Kelly’s eyes lit up. Yes! She thought. She was so happy that they changed their minds. They took a quick tour of the house and kella just loved it. It seemed to kella like Linda was desperate on selling the house. She took out some papers and kella signed them and they shook hands and parted ways. Kella a was a excited to tell Macy, her sister, the news. After telling Macy the news, Macy was excited as well. Sad that her little sister was going to leave her but happy that she was finally going to start making a living of her own. Kella was finally done with everything. Paperwork all done. Payments done. Now she was ready to move into her own house. As kella and Macy arrived to her new house, they began bringing in her stuff and after they were all done they went outside my the porch and sat on the bench by the door. Holding her drink in her hand kella closed her eyes and pinched her hands. Pain. It was all real. They say there talking and Macy had to leave already since it was getting dark. They waved goodbye and kella went back into the house. Macy had said she would be back in the morning to help her unpack. Outside was getting very dark and kella was slowing unboxing and unpacking her stuff. Walking into her room she moved her bed to the far right and felt the floor beneath her felt hollow. She stepped back and in the middle of the room was a hollow part. She removed the carpet and stepped harder and the floor boards cracked. “Shit. I knew this was too good to be true” murmured kella as she walked outside and opened a box and took out a tool box. Walking back into the room she removed the boards and as she looked into the hole she could see something in there. She removed the broken boards and revealed what seemed to be a suitcase. She reached down and grabbed the suitcase. It was a very old suitcase and as she opened it, inside revealed money. She closed it again and closed her eyes and pitched herself and opened it back up again and it was real. It wasn’t a dream. She wasn’t dreaming. She was actually seeing money, a ton of it. Than she thought of all the things she could do with that money. She sat with the suitcase and counted the money and she had came across 20,000 dollars. And inside the suitcase taped to the bottom of the suitcase was a little black book. She took the book in her hands and examined it. There were no writings on it. It was just all black. She opened the book and it was filled with blank pages and than she came across a note: Seal ur fate. One month of happiness and wealth.Enjoy whilst it last. For nigh is the day of ur death, when hell shall open up and swallow u whole. She looked at the notebook and threw the book in the corner of the room. She looked around, biting her lips, she ran to the the table and picked up her phone and called Macy. She told her about the money she had found and Macy laughed. It was near midnight and she had thought her little sister was joking but she could hear the seriousness in her voice. Macy asked her if she told anyone and she said no. Arriving at Kella’s new home, Macy made her way in the house and when she entered kella’s room her mouth dropped. Kella was sitting by the cash with a big grin on her face. She squealed and holding her hands on her mouth, eyes wide open, she slowly walked towards kella and kella handed her a hand full of cash. She took it and smelled it, also analyzing it and than she looked at kella and squealed, “we’re rich kella! We’re rich!” and kella looked at her with a smirk and on her face, “I’m rich”, said kella.“Yes of course, u found it but come on you won’t share it? I mean I’ve helped u out after mom and dad passed and you won’t even let me have a piece of it?” Macy exclaimed. “No of course, I’m sorry, that’s why I called u here. Weird something just came over me and I couldn’t help but say that. I’m sorry Mace.” Said kella. They sat down and talked about what to do and where to go. They had so plans. Things they wanted to do. And the sisters took the cash and left the book behind. They bought a ticket to Las Vegas. They partied all day all night. And days passed but the sisters didn’t seem the same. They argued a lot about who the money belonged to. They became paranoid thinking that someone was watching them. Following them. They would always see a dark figure in the huge house that they just bought. Always watching them and than disappearing back into the dark again. It felt like a year but it had only been weeks. March 30 midnight thought kella as she remembered that note in the small black book she found hidden in the cash. She looked at her watch, “11:32” kella said underneath her breath. Her head was spinning and she had given up waiting for Macy to return. She walked to her bed and plopped herself down on her bed. She closed her eyes for a moment and as she opened them she felt that same feeling, like someone was watching her. She sat up slowly and looked around the dark room and there it was. Her eyes widened and her breathing stopped for a second. There in the corner of her room was the same dark figure she’s been seeing the least few weeks. The room was very silent she could hear the ticking of the clock. She couldn’t move but she could move her fingers. Kella squeezed her eyes shut and squeezed the side of her thighs and she felt the pain from her pinch. Than she opened her eyes, her breathing harsh. She felt so scared. Her eyes slowly moved to the clock and the it was 11:58. She looked back at the dark figure, and it moved. Her breathing became even more harsh and she her face became very pale as the dark figure kept moving towards her every time a the minutes would move. She couldn’t move her body at all. Her nails digging into her skin as she tried to find a way to move herself. It was getting close. 11:59 and 23 more seconds to go before the clock strikes 12. The dark figure was now standing right in front of her face. It had no face. It was just darkness. She was just looking at a dark human figure. No eyes. Nothing. Than the clock struck 12 and she held her breath. The dark figure didn’t move. She stared at it and suddenly it melted into the floor making a dark puddle underneath her, melting the floor underneath her as she looked down and saw hands reaching out to grab her, she could hear screams and all she wanted to do was scream but she couldn’t do that too. Her eyes widened with so much fear as the hands reached out and grabbed her Dragging her down and than slowly closing. The room was still and quiet. Empty.Macy slowly drove her car to the hotel they were staying at and park near the driveway. She got out and walked to the big door of the hotel and into the lobby and rang the bell. No one answered. She pressed it a couple a times and still no one came.. She wondered where the everyone was. She called her out and no one was there. She walked behind the hotel and looked up at the balcony of their room. The curtains were swaying back and forth. Macy walked back to her car and grabbed her bag, taking a key out she walked back towards the door. She walked back inside the hotel and took the elevator. Walking down the hall she stopped at the door of their room. She knocked but no one answered. Unlocking the door she yelled out her sisters name. “Kella! Where are you? I’m here to get my damn stuff! I’m done with this. Kella?” Macy walked to the kitchen and than walked towards kella’s room. She opened the door and there was absolutely no one in the room. She shook her head and thought to herself that maybe Kella was at a ransoms guys place again. She walked back out of the room and went to the room at the far end of kella’s room and entered. Packing her stuff she looked up and as she carefully adjusted her vision. In the mirror, behind her, hiding behind her clothes In The closet was that same dark figure her and Kella kept seeing over the month. She gasped fearfully and quickly turned around and saw the figure just standing there. She stood there frozen for a while and than quickly dashed towards the door, closing it behind her, she ran down the stairs and ran into her car and turned it on and stepped on the gas and drove quickly away. Once she reached the highway she slowed down just a bit. Driving to her apartment she hoped her sister was okay. She always hated that place because she always thought it was haunted. She had asked her sister for them to move but Kella had always told her it was the best place there was in the Vegas. Driving down a dark alley she sighed and thinking back to the thing she saw at the house made the hair on her neck stand. A light flashed in her rear view mirror and she looked up and it was a car parking in the alley. When the lights turned off she saw sitting in the back was that same dark figure. Scared, Macy abruptly stepped on her brakes and quickly put out of the car. She slipped as she got out and fell on the wet dirty road. She looked at the car parked in the alley and she saw a couple get out talking and laughing as they got some stuff out of their car. She screamed for help but nothing came out of her mouth. Crying and trying her best to get a sound out of her mouth she watched as they made their way up the stairs and into their apartment. Crying and crawling she saw the dark figure by the door. It was like a nightmare. She couldn’t move. Couldn’t say anything. Frozen with fear she lay there as the dark figure came and stood next to her. It’s figure towering over her. Slowly it leaned down I’m and as she stared into its eyes she saw the screams of millions. Her eyes widened. Her mouth open with terror and like sheet it covered her and there was nothing. The street was empty. Dogs barking in the distance. Glass shattering on the street. The alley was empty. Filled with sounds of people laughing and muttering but no Macy.
