Cursed by My Own Hands

A Journey through Jealousy and Regret

By Ahmad shahPublished 6 months ago 4 min read

I am a school principal blessed by Allah with wealth, beauty, power, and children. My husband is a man of status and respect. Life was perfect… until he married another woman.

Her name was always on people’s lips for her piety and devotion to God. This praise ate away at me, especially when I heard my husband say, "She is a righteous woman, close to Allah."

Whenever I spoke ill of her, he would stop me, saying, "Do not oppress her—she is one of the God-fearing."

His admiration burned me with jealousy. My greatest fear was that she would bear his child.

One day, I opened up to a colleague about my fears. She gave me horrifying advice:

"Make sure she can never conceive. Get black magic done so she ends up divorced."

At first, I was terrified and refused. But she said, "Once she’s divorced, you can give charity and repent."

Satan overpowered my heart. I agreed.

We went to a well-known sorceress in our area.

I told her, "I don’t want her to get pregnant. I want her out of my husband’s life—and never to be a mother to anyone."

The sorceress asked for something personal of hers—her scent or a belonging. I consulted my daughter and colleague.

We planned for my daughter to invite her father and stepmother to dinner. The aim was to obtain something she had touched.

That night, my daughter brought back her scarf. I handed it to the sorceress.

She said: "She will never be a mother."

She gave me enchanted powders—one to sprinkle at the entrance she would walk through, another to mix into her drink.

I invited her over and pretended to be friendly:

"We are like sisters. Please, stay for dinner tonight."

I sprinkled the powder at the entrance and mixed the other into her coffee.

I felt victorious watching her drink it, as if I had conquered the world.

But little did I know… I had destroyed my hereafter.

Days later, she began to bleed heavily—for three weeks straight.

Her health deteriorated. My husband would say:

"She cries during prayers, in the bathroom, even faints at night."

I pretended to care, blaming it on the bleeding.

Eventually, the doctors discovered tumors in her womb. They said a hysterectomy was necessary.

But she refused—she had seen a dream where a black dog was tearing at her womb.

A dream interpreter told her: "You’ve been cursed with black magic. Rub olive oil and recite Quran over yourself."

My husband relayed this to me, and I ran to the sorceress.

She warned, "If she uses olive oil, the knots will break. She may become a mother."

So again, I poisoned her food with magic.

The same dream interpreter who helped her… was the one casting spells for me.

She told me:

"Come to me before Asr (afternoon prayer), then call her to distract her from her daily remembrance. I’ll bind her again."

I did as told. But as the sorceress tried to finish the spell, she lost her voice and couldn’t speak. Still, the curse was completed.

My co-wife never returned to her again.

Later, I enchanted her food again.

Her condition worsened. Finally, doctors performed surgery and removed her womb.

Still, I wasn’t satisfied. I wanted her divorced.

My colleague advised me to accuse her of witchcraft.

My daughter had been married for a year.

We cast a spell on my husband as well and buried it near the doorway.

Then I told him:

"The dream interpreter says you’ve been cursed—and your second wife is the one responsible. She even told me where the spell is buried."

My husband dug near the tree… and found the spell.

He was devastated. I rejoiced.

He called her brother and said:

"Your sister is a witch! She’s done black magic on me. I divorce her—three times!"

He even sent pictures of the black magic artifacts.

I believed I had finally won…

But then came the punishment.

Five years passed.

My daughter was divorced and diagnosed infertile—her ovaries had shriveled. She now receives psychiatric treatment.

My colleague’s only son died in a car accident. She had a breakdown and was admitted to a mental institution.

My husband is haunted by dreams of his deceased father, angry and disappointed. He reads this verse repeatedly:

"O you who believe! If a wicked person brings you any news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance and afterward become regretful for what you have done."

(Surah Al-Hujurat 49:6)

And it didn’t end there…

I was fired from my job. A scandal ruined my reputation. I was humiliated.

The one who tried to destroy another’s life… had her own life ruined by Allah.

Black magic is forbidden (haram), and its consequences are disgrace in this world and hellfire in the hereafter.

Then… my beloved son became addicted to drugs. He is now hospitalized for rehabilitation.

As for me—I was proven guilty of misconduct at work. I was publicly disgraced.

Then I began falling ill. Test results revealed… brain cancer.

The cancer had spread to my spine and throughout my body.

I was hospitalized, living only on painkillers.

My husband… married someone else. He abandoned me completely.

Now, in the final stage of this illness, I asked my sisters to bring my co-wife to me.

They brought her.

I confessed everything—every horrible truth—and begged her for forgiveness.

I was even ready to kiss her feet.

With tears, she said something that pierced my soul:

"You deprived me of motherhood. You violated my faith. You had me thrown out of my home, accused of black magic. And today… I have no children, no husband… all because of your cruelty.

May Allah make His mercy forbidden for you.

May Allah make His mercy forbidden for you.

May Allah make His mercy forbidden for you…"

Those words still echo in my ears…

I wished I could die a hundred times over before hearing them.
