I woke up to my alarm going off. It was ten in the morning and the rain was still coming down like crazy. I called my boss at the animal shelter and asked her if I need to come into work today.

“ No,” she told me” the animals were put up yesterday so your free to do whatever you wanna do.”

I went downstairs and made some breakfast. I sat and ate my eggs on my couch. Out of curiosity I clicked on the news channel. It was blank. “Odd.” I say aloud.

That afternoon,I brushed my hair and dressed in one of my nice skirts and long-sleeve shirt. I grabbed an apple and my keys. My umbrella was by the door. As I walked out I pushed the button to watch my umbrella unfold.

I sat in my car and right before I put the key into the ignition I stopped.

“ What am I doing?” I asked myself “I’m just gonna go be on a gameshow I don’t even know? I don’t have enough information to be doing this!”

I reconsidered my actions.” It’ll be fine” I told myself once I reached a conclusion. “This must be special or why else would Lucy’s call disconnect. I mean one hundred thousand dollars! I could expand the animal shelter and afford the expensive medicine!” I stuck my key into the ignition and drove into town.

I came around the corner of an old hardware store when I saw the office building. I was ecstatic. I pulled into the parking lot and locked the car behind me. I knocked on the door. I heard a click sound and the door slowly opened.

I walked in to a common waiting room, common as in ten chairs in a line against the wall with a small table that had a few magazines that I didn’t recognize , and up to registration. Instead of a window there was a wall with a small opening so I couldn’t see inside. I asked”Excuse me?”

A hand with light olive skin and exotic long nails tapped quietly at the edge of the hole. I reached for my ticket in my purse. I slid it into the hole and she took it. It was silent for awhile till the hand reached out and pointed with a blue and pink swirly nail towards a hallway with only one door.

I thanked her and walked in. It was quiet. A tiny recording studio was in front of me. I took a few steps forward till I heard fast footsteps but no one was in the room. Or so I thought.

Three pairs of hands seized me at once. One had his arm around my neck and tried to put a white towel over my mouth and nose. I kicked and screamed. Someone was holding my hands painfully behind my back. I opened my eyes and saw the three men.

Two of them wore a pitch black mask which covered there face and wore white everything else. The one in front of me,unlike the others, wore the same thing but the opposite. His mask was white and his clothes were black and he had the symbol in black right in front were his eyes should be. In his hand was a brown cloth bag. He brushed his free hand against the side of my face with a calm shush.

I thrashed harder but when he nodded towards the man behind me, he shoved the towel over my face. I breathed in the sick smell of chemicals. My eyes watered and grew heavy. With one final look he put the bag over my head concealing my senses in darkness.
