IPL 2025 MATCH NO 23 GT VS RR : Sai Sudharshan and Prasidh lead to GT top of IPL table
GT won their 4th game in this season

Gujarat Titans are Powered by Sai Sudharsan and Prasidh Krishna to the Top of the IPL 2025 Table. The Gujarat Titans (GT) have risen to the top of the IPL 2025 table thanks to the brilliance of Sai Sudharsan and the ferocious comeback of pacer Prasidh Krishna in a season filled with outstanding performances and close games. At the Top, Sudharsan's Consistency This season, Sai Sudharsan has been nothing short of spectacular. GT's innings are anchored by the left-handed batter, who combines calm composure with calculated aggression to accelerate when it matters most. His latest knock — a commanding 82 in a crucial 58-run win over Rajasthan Royals — was a testament to his maturity and form.
Sai Sudharsan: The Anchor and Accelerator
Sudharsan has emerged as the Titans' batting core, scoring 273 runs in just five matches, making him the second-highest run scorer of the season. He has demonstrated his capability of reading the game, rotating the strike when under pressure, and unleashing powerful strokes when the team requires a push. GT assistant coach Parthiv Patel revealed that the youngster is so committed to improvement that they frequently have to "drag him out of the nets." His steady rise is supported by unrelenting training.
Sai Sudharshan (Player of the Match) :- IPL is the kind of tournament where you need the momentum from the start. Always a joy to contribute to team wins. The wicket was seaming a bit, so I took some time but knew we couldn't take a lot of time. Then I wanted to take the game deep. We wanted to have wickets for the death. We have the awareness if we lose early wickets that the set batter has to play long. I always try to see what I can do better, trying to improve my awareness and skill. I have worked a lot of basics which is helping me be a versatile batter.
Prasidh Krishna: Pace, Precision, and Punch
Prasidh's redemption arc on bowling front, GT’s investment in Prasidh Krishna is already paying off. The tall Karnataka fast bowler was picked for a whopping INR 9.5 crore in the mega auction in 2025, despite missing two full IPL seasons due to injury. This was a move that raised questions. But Krishna has silenced doubters with his raw pace, lethal bounce, and knack for delivering under pressure.
GT went all-in on him precisely because of his performance against Rajasthan Royals, when he took crucial wickets and exerted pressure in the final overs. Krishna’s presence has added a new dimension to Gujarat’s bowling attack, complementing the spin-heavy middle overs and giving the team a weapon during the powerplay and death.
Titans on the March
With Sai Sudharsan’s consistency up top and Prasidh Krishna’s resurgence with the ball, GT looks like a well-rounded and confident unit. Their ability to dominate with both bat and ball has placed them at the summit of the IPL 2025 points table — a position they’ll look to solidify in the coming weeks.
If these two stars continue their current form, Gujarat Titans might just be on course for another memorable IPL campaign.
