In the Beginning.

The world was without form, void, abstract and Still. Letters arrive, across time. I read, listen and share.

We start at the Beginning, when the world was void and unformed.

My dear child.

Be still and listen with your inner Being. Upon your senses have I now written you a letter. Clear your thoughts, open your mind, hear my voice! All the world may be yours, you and all of my creation, if only you would heed my words and obey my commandments.

I heard the voice within my mind's eye as it spoke the words of the first of many letters across time and space. In fascination and great wonder, I was, in my non-physical form, taken back...back to the first day, the first minute, the first moment. Back to the beginning of us all.

...

I stood upon the mountaintop, enveloped in that stillness of which the voice spoke. My entire attention fixed upon the silent motions and quietude of the land bequeathed freely unto me, unto us.

In what was probably an illusion...nothing moved, except my inner thoughts. So focused was I within the inner sanctum of my soul's deep reflection, my mind almost missed the call of the wild meditations of Creation and Mother Nature herself.

For suddenly I felt a misty consciousness, as of something forgotten—almost lost to the distal thrill of life's energy, far away from the center of my body. Thus was formed from the point of attachment...a phototropic growth, omens of the past and future converging. Thought; existence...light and dark emerging from the mystery of language and the universe...a new stillness was being revealed to me. I knew then that something wonderful and new was flowing over my wakefulness.

Is it entirely possible to be reborn in one single moment of clarity. The living Word had awakened my soul, given it light and hope. An arising from dark. Light and quiet had begun...setting the spirit free.

...

Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content. (Helen Keller).

...

From the mountaintop, I was then sent 'Down into the valley', where I was made to dwell among the flowers and wild things of the earth. The sun shone brightly overhead, birds sang merrily, the leaves on the trees swayed in the wind, content. Squirrels, foxes and lizards scampered here and there. The world was at peace...well, peace being relative. At least there, among the earth's garden, it was quiet. Outside, in the noise and un-still silence, war and turmoil raged.

Thus came the second letter.

My Daughter

Where in the creation of my Genesis did I go wrong. When I created Mankind to worship and obey me, did they not understand the premise or the notion that I was their Lord and Master?

Do they really believe that story of being created from a Big Bang or of wading forth from Primordial Ooze. I took the time to gently and lovingly mold them in my image and likeness.

Now they flaunt their disregard and visceral scorn for my teaching and guidance in the everyday conveyance of their lives. Why do they opt to have a miserable existence. How dare they think that they know what is best for themselves when I clearly gave them everything that they would ever need. I gave them the plants, herbs and choice animal meats for nourishment. I gave them the world as their playground. They abuse the land and each other.

Did I not offer them long life, free will and the grace to live in harmony, happiness and gentle kneeling in prayer to me at least once per day.

I love them dearly, but they try my patience.

The sun still shone, the trees still waved their branches, I pinched my hand so to know that I dreamed not, but was indeed wide awake.

"The creator(s) is angry, ah, but 'they' have a right to be. Just look at the state of humanity". I thought to myself.

"This is not anger, silly child. It is the gentle remonstrance of a parent to their stubborn, spoilt and loved children". Was my inner musing heard upon the wind?

...

Again, I was transported Elsewhere

In the noise of the Marketplace, I walked amidst the hustle and bustle of the 'higglers' and 'pedlars' of wares, sundries and miscellaneous items of worldly variety.

"Come buy you yam, cocoa, dashine and bammies". "Sweet water coconuts to quench you thirst"! They called out in the Caribbean patois.

"Hello luv, hey Guvnor, how you doing teday, whot you thinkin of buyin for yeself now". The local English Cockney accent I could barely understand.

"Sweetie pie, whatchoo thinking of purchasing for your fine self today", the handsome, charming and clearly cunning American young entrepreneur man smiled, as he proffered his beautifully made jackets and coats.

あなたは買っています

"Anata wa katte imasu". "You are buying"? Can be heard in the Japanese marketplace

Another letter was sent forth

Dear one

Have you noticed that here, amongst some of the hardest workers on your planet, there is a camaraderie which far surpasses those who consider themselves 'elite and learned'. Look how they happily rib and jibe at each other. How they laugh and share their joys, their sorrows and their pain. Look closely at how they uphold each other, care for each other, yet they do it so naturally, it comes as a second nature to them all.

Deep within this bond which the gentle folks share, is the epitome of what the wider world should be experiencing. Yet the majority of the world is just too busy to realize that in that busy nature lies the greatest sadness of the generation.

They have lost themselves in the pursuit of riches, fame and glory of the ever wanting of more and more....

It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness. - Charles Spurgeon

Tell them it is to be so!

How can one pass on messages to a people who have become so tunnel visioned and focused on technology and the pursuit of self that they have forgotten who they really are?

Find a way! Was the answer.

Into the churches, temples, mosques and synagogues I travelled. They listened, smiled, nodded, wished me safe travel and thanked me profusely for passing on the wise and ominous words.

No time, no time. We are busy seeking spots on TV and commercial time.

"But what about the souls that you promised to save for the sake of your faith, for the good of all mankind"? I tried to ask above the noise of reporters and cameras flashing upon the faces of dashing preachers and pastors staring into their fame filled future.

"Tomorrow, we will do that tomorrow, today, I am too popular to miss my window of opportunity". His fake smile gleamed from his pearly whites, taking him further and further away from the Pearly Gates.

"Now tell me I am wrong". The wind shouted loudly, still I could barely catch the words above the din of it all.

...

I travelled far and long to the mountains of Tibet, where monks of long ago practiced the wise teachings and lived in humble care and grace.

Dear reader

During the Cultural Revolution, formally known as "The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution", a sociopolitical movement launched by Mao Zedong in 1966 and lasting until 1976. China imprisoned thousands of monks and nuns, destroyed all but 11 of Tibet's 6,200 monasteries, and burned sacred texts in an effort to obliterate Tibetan culture. By the late 1970s, 1.2 million Tibetans had died as a result of the occupation.

Free will have I given unto mankind. Should I not hide my face from them. Yet I continue to believe in their humanity.

Sadly, you cannot stay in a monastery in Tibet.

According to Tibet Travel Policy, international tourists can't spend the night inside a Tibetan monastery or live with Tibetan monks. However, you can stay in the guesthouse of the monastery if there is one for the visitors.

Camp out on the mountain, enjoy the fresh air, it is here that you will become one with nature.

I did so and awakened refreshed, with a feeling of being reborn. I visit with the monks as the last stage of my celestial journey.

...

Dear one

There are many hells in Tibetan Buddhism?

The sun and moon in the divine sky with their great power are unable to reach the darkness with their light. In [that space between the two diamond mountain ranges] there are eight major hells. Along with each major hell are sixteen smaller hells. The first major hell is called Thoughts*.

Elsewhere in the wider world, there is taught lessons of only one great hell.

Many believe that,

Heaven and Hell are lived here on earth in the minds of every sentient, aware and cognitive being. Live well within whichever one you create for yourselves.

Share what you have heard and seen. More letters to come as we journey to the enlightenment of humanity.

"I humbly await such a blessing", answers the receiver of letters.

Interpretation open to individual thoughts*.
