Wrestlepalooza Predictions: Predicting Every Win, Loss & Surprise

Breaking down the biggest matches, shocking returns, and bold predictions for WWE’s Wrestlepalooza 2025.

By Lawrence LeasePublished 4 months ago 3 min read

Wrestlepalooza is only days away, and excitement is building. Scheduled for Saturday, this event is shaping up to be one of WWE’s biggest spectacles of the year. Fightful Select has even reported that the company hopes Wrestlepalooza can serve as a “WrestleMania surrogate” in years when the flagship event is held overseas, like it will in 2027.

While the card came together late and faces stiff competition from AEW’s All Out the very same night, WWE has stacked the lineup with some of its biggest names. Let’s break down the matches, storylines, and predictions for this jam-packed show.

Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre (Undisputed WWE Championship)

This match feels like a perfect opener. Cody Rhodes is once again sitting atop WWE as champion after dethroning John Cena, while Drew McIntyre gets a much-deserved spotlight following a quieter year compared to his 2024 run.

Despite Drew’s credibility, the outcome seems straightforward: Cody retains. WWE is unlikely to cut Rhodes’ reign short, especially with WrestleMania on the horizon. Drew winning would be a shock, but for now, this is about further establishing Cody as the company’s centerpiece.

Prediction: Cody Rhodes retains.

Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker vs. The Usos

The Usos reunite for their first big tag team bout in a while, but the tension between Jimmy and Jey looms large. Jey’s slow heel turn has created intrigue, with shades of Roman Reigns’ manipulative style creeping into his character.

This feels like the perfect chance for a miscommunication to cost the Usos the match. Meanwhile, the powerhouse duo of Reed and Breakker desperately needs a high-profile win. WWE could push them as a Road Warriors-esque force of dominance, and a victory here would be the right step.

Prediction: Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker win, thanks to Uso family drama.

CM Punk & AJ Lee vs. Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch (Mixed Tag Match)

One of the most anticipated matches of the night features AJ Lee’s long-awaited in-ring return. Teaming with her husband CM Punk against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, this bout blends nostalgia, intrigue, and star power.

AJ has looked sharp in training and has reconnected seamlessly with WWE audiences on the mic. Given her comeback story, this is a “feel-good” moment waiting to happen. Punk and AJ getting the win makes the most sense, even if WWE eventually runs a rematch down the line.

Prediction: CM Punk & AJ Lee win.

Stephanie Vaquer vs. IYO SKY (Vacant Women’s Championship)

After Naomi vacated the women’s title due to her pregnancy, WWE turned to Evolution Battle Royal winner Stephanie Vakair to step up. Her opponent, the ever-reliable IYO SKY, is arguably the company’s most consistent in-ring performer.

From a pure wrestling standpoint, this could be match of the night. Both are capable of delivering a classic if given enough time. While IYO guarantees quality, Stephanie’s rising popularity makes this the perfect chance to crown a new star. WWE has shown confidence in pushing her quickly before, and doing so here would feel like a natural progression.

Prediction: Stephanie Vaquer captures the vacant championship.

John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar

In terms of name value, nothing tops this clash. Cena’s ongoing retirement tour brings him face-to-face with a familiar rival: Brock Lesnar. The two icons have battled countless times, but this one carries the weight of Cena’s impending farewell.

Cena has only a handful of matches left, and beating Lesnar would add drama to his final stretch. Losing wouldn’t hurt either—Brock is an unstoppable force by design—but a win here sets Cena up to fall to a younger star in his true farewell match.

Prediction: John Cena wins.

Final Thoughts

Wrestlepalooza may have been thrown together quickly, but WWE clearly intends to make it a statement show. With massive names, surprise returns, and championship implications, it could end up being one of the most memorable events of 2025.

WWE is hoping this new tradition can stand tall even against All Out, and based on the lineup, they’re pulling out all the stops.
