Will Prince William, Queen Camilla, and Duchess Meghan support a royal reunion between King Charles and Prince Harry?

Ultimately the father and son will make the decision but family members could weigh in.

Will every royal be in favor of a reconciliation?

A royal reconciliation might be in the works for Prince Harry and King Charles III. According to The Mail, the Prince and Meghan Markle believe it's important to have peace now that the monarch is battling cancer.

Will the King be receptive, and what will Prince William, Princess Kate, and Queen Camilla think about it? Will they be angry that it took illness for Prince Harry to reach out or will they fall in line if Charles III wants to see his son?

Could the royals join in one accord?

In May, rumors surfaced that Prince William was blocking a reunion between his father and younger brother. The Princess of Wales will probably follow her husband's lead, although in the past she was said to have been angry with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

There have also been rumblings that Meghan does not desire to set foot on British soil again but perhaps things have now changed. In June, Fox News reported that the Queen was not going to intervene and would accept whatever decision her husband made.

Aides for both parties had a meeting

NBC News reports that senior aides for both the King and his son were photographed on Sunday, meeting in London. This has led to speculation that the duo may be taking steps to heal their years-long rift. Even if the King recovers from cancer, he is 76 and has more years behind him than in his future.

Harry has stated on record that his father, who was diagnosed with the disease last year, is not speaking to him due to a rift over security issues. The Duke and Duchess have been providing their own security since leaving their royal duties, and Harry believes the monarchy should continue paying for their safety.

According to a royal source who discussed the meeting, "A long road lies ahead, but for the first time in years, a channel of communication is now open."

The Mail obtained photos on Sunday that showed Meredith Maines, Harry's chief communications officer, meeting with Tobyn Andreae, Charles' communications secretary, at the Royal Overseas League, a private club located near Buckingham Palace.

Prince Harry wants to end the fighting

During a BBC interview in May, Harry, who is the fifth in line to the throne, stated that he would “love reconciliation with my family,” “There’s no point in continuing to fight people."

Prince Harry's remarks followed his unsuccessful appeal against the British government's decision to remove his publicly funded security detail, which he stated had caused a rift between him and King Charles III.

A royal source was quoted as saying: “There’s a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years,"

Allegedly, Harry has invited his father and brother to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham on July 12 through 17. This will coincide with Queen Camilla's 80th birthday, so the possibility is on the table.

Reconciliation is possible

The problems began when Harry and Meghan left their royal duties, and later, the Duke of Sussex wrote his tell-all memoir. The King and Prince of Wales were said to be furious about both situations, but perhaps time has healed some of the wounds.

King Charles III refused chemotherapy and chose a less invasive treatment for his cancer. Doctors are said to be pleased with his progress and desire to minimize risks to his recovery. Meanwhile, Kate Middleton agreed to chemotherapy, and in January, it was announced that she was cancer-free.

The King prepared for 70 years for this role, and in September, he will have been on the throne for three years. Prayerfully, and hopefully, he will survive to reign for many more.
