Days of Our Lives Update: Rafe, Doug and Tate work together to save Holly and Arianna
Time is of the essence to save the hostage before anything happens to them.

Trouble follows Doug again
The intense drama continues this week on Days of Our Lives. Doug Williams III (played by Peyton Meyer) continues to find himself in troubling situations where disaster follows. This time, his actions have led to Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) and Ari Horton (Marissa Reyes) being placed in danger.
Doug's saga began when he came to Salem and was welcomed by Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). He owed money to loan sharks and stole the Horton family heirloom to help pay off his debts. Julie kicked him out of the family home, and others in town labeled him a troublemaker.
Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) gave him a job and a room over the Brady Pub, but Doug is failing at his second chance because he cannot pay off his debt. Although he has been working overtime, he has been unable to settle his debt because the interest is growing.
He had been warned that if he didn't resolve the situation, Holly and Ari would suffer consequences, and now the two young women have been kidnapped.

Doug and Tate will have to work together
Doug and Tate Black (Leo Howard) are not friends and will find themselves at odds due to this development. Tate will be furious, but he has to put feelings aside to work with Doug to figure out how to save Holly and Ari. Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jiminez) will become frantic when her daughter doesn’t show up at the lake for the senior outing.
Spoilers tease that once Doug and Tate manage to calm down, they will decide to work together and seek assistance from Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). On Monday, Doug's creditor kidnapped Holly and Ari before they could go to the lake, holding them for ransom and sending Doug a picture.
While Holly and Ari are being held captive, they may confide in each other. Ari might be surprised to learn that Doug was interested in Holly, who may feel jealous upon discovering that Doug and Ari slept together. Although Holly told Tate there was nothing romantic between them, viewers know her feelings were complicated.

Sophia will disrupt Tate and Holly's lives again
Meanwhile, Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) will continue her efforts to break up Tate and Holly. She didn’t want him to stay involved with her just for the baby, and now that she has given the child up to be adopted, spoilers suggest she will plot to break u-p Holly and Tate again.
Rafe, Tate, and Doug will work together to rescue the girls and bring the kidnapper to justice. Once things settle down and Tate and Holly return to normal, Sophia will plot her next move.
While she gained sympathy from viewers as she was watching Leo Stark (Greg Rikaard) and Javi Hernandez (Al Caulderon) with her baby, fans should not let that deceive them. If spoilers are correct, it won't be long before Sophia is scheming again.

Is there salvation for Doug?
Doug will feel the wrath of everyone because he brought his drama to Salem. Tate and other Salemites will probably let him know just how they feel. Holly could even turn on him, but Ari might stick by her man.
They appear to only be friends with benefits, but the relationship could turn into something more. If Rafe and Gabi insist she never has anything to do with Doug again, Arianna will probably run straight to him.

The Horton heirloom might be the key
There is one thing Doug can do that may gain him some grace in Salem. He could find a way to get Julie's necklace away from Gwen Rizczech (Emily O'Brien).
So far, JJ Devereaux (Casey Moss), Julie, and Leo have attempted to reason with Gwen to return the heirloom to the Horton family, but she has refused. If Doug can get that piece of jewelry back where it belongs, it could be his salvation. Keep watching Days of Our Lives to learn how all of this plays out.
