Why it's Impossible for The Batman Who Laughs to Ever Get a Live Action Introduction

DC comics would have to really step it up to make this insane idea work.

The Batman Who Laughs is a DC villain that I never knew actually existed. I assumed that he was just a fun version that DC comics was using to create cool action figures to show everyone what Batman would look like as the Joker. I was so wrong when I realized that The Batman Who Laughs is actually a real character within the DC universe.

A sadistic monster that delights in hurting others.

This version of Batman lost against the Joker, when laughing gas somehow got into his body, creating a batshit crazy version of Batman, combining him with the archenemy that he battled for years. That kind of mix is instant death, and that is exactly what happens in the universe of The Batman Who Laughs.

He terrorizes so many people, and kills many, just for the hell of it. This outcome leads to another version of Batman and the Joker from another universe, teaming up to put a stop to this bastard once and for all.

The fact that Batman was forced to team up with the Joker is crazy, and I'm sure that the Joker felt the same way.

And things only get crazier when The Batman Who Laughs becomes a cosmic entity, and only Wonder Woman is left to battle him to the death.

Yeah. The version of Batman is pretty far out there, and is willing to do anything to achieve his dominance and evil over others.

I would honestly kill for a live action movie with The Batman Who Laughs, but I think that would be impossible.

1. DC would already have to be who knows how many movies into their main story like the old Marvel used to be, and lead down the path of the huge introduction of The Batman Who Laughs.

We can't get this guy in a random cameo or in a random DC movie. He would need a proper buildup, the kind that will leave the world in shambles once his character is introduced on the big screen. DC would have to adapt a fantastic storyline that would blow away their fans, an unforgettable introduction of this monster.

And it has to be in a way that means total doom for the rest of the DC characters.

2. We would need the PERFECT actor to play The Batman Who Laughs

This is one of the biggest reasons why it would be impossible to get a live action version of this villain. I actually struggle to even picture how this evil Batman would sound like. Would he have a monotone voice with a lot of hidden evil intentions behind it? Or would he sound very similar to the Joker?

Also, we will never see the top half of the actor's face. Which means that we will only get the mouth of the actor, including his mannerisms, and it will be up to the actor to pull off this character to the best of his ability.

I think the costume wouldn't be too hard to pull off, but the makeup I think would be a doozy. That smile is wickedly cool, I think for this character to work, we would need a whole makeup team to create a smile for the actor. Kind of like what they did for Jim Carrey when he starred in The Mask.

But in this case, it would have to be something creepy, not goofy.

3. The movie needs to be Rated - R.

Not making this movie Rated - R would be a crime. Like seriously, DC would be kind of dumb to not give this rating out. DC is known for being dark, they would need to go all out with this story and character, going full madness with everything.

Do you think a live action of The Batman Who Laughs is possible?

Or impossible?
