Why did The Electric State flop?

I watched two Hollywood films today - the English version of Novocaine in the theater and the Hindi dubbed version of Russo brothers' The Electric State on Netflix. Which of the two options would be right, especially for you? Let's talk about it.

The Electric State Review

Netflix's The Electric State was made in $320 million. The plus point of this film is that everything feels realistic, from the set to the emotions of the robots. But it would have been better if a little money was spent on the story and screenplay as well.

I thought that the thinking of Hollywood people is very different from Bollywood people, but no, here also the filmmakers are fond of making the most expensive films, even if the movie does not teach anything, does not have a solid story, the characters are not likable or relatable, the thinking that the film should be expensive is there in Bollywood but I did not expect that it will be there in Hollywood as well.

Now see, when it comes to the Russo brothers, we muster up the courage to watch that content by closing our eyes, but this time we will have to open our eyes, my brother.

I know why this film came directly on OTT even after spending so much money because this movie could not even showcase its box office numbers in theaters.

How does it feel to say that a movie made in 2700 crores could not even touch 100 crores in its theatre run, so it was a good decision to deal directly with OTT and then Rahul Gandhi makes the famous dialogue entry here Tata good buy.

If I talk about the storyline of the movie, then this is a dystopian type sci-fi action adventure film in which the focus is on the emotions of robots but here the makers fail because no human being can feel emotionally about robots.

I do not mean I am talking about the characters of the movie, I am talking about the emotions of the audience who were not able to connect with those robots.

Due to this, despite having a good topic, the interest of the movie gets lost somewhere.

Lead actor Chris Pratt has done the same work as he has been doing in Guardians of the Galaxy. At one moment, it felt as if this was a Star Lord movie in some other universe.

So, somewhere due to bad execution, I felt that the movie could have been better. Considering the amount of money that has been spent on water, yes, it could have been better.

For this reason, I easily give this movie 2.5 out of 5 stars. This movie is average.

Novocaine Review

I saw the second movie Novocaine in theatres and my god it was hard to believe that a movie on such a topic has been made in our Bollywood before, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. Though the concept is similar, the story is different.

Here is Nathan Nate, an assistant manager in a bank. A girl falls in love with him even after knowing his condition that the man does not feel any pain or anything due to some medical disorder.

So when Nathan is taking a deep dive into the sea of his only love, then a robbery takes place in his bank and his girlfriend is also kidnapped. Now how he uses his no pain condition against the robbers and whether he can save the girl or not, you can watch that in the movie only.

But the way it has been presented with little R-rated visuals in it, I don't know but it satisfies a lot. Even after the first half, there is a twist that was not expected and which gives a different angle to the story.

It takes almost twenty minutes of the first half to get a grip on the movie but after that, as soon as the robbery takes place in the bank, the picture turns a different angle.

A love story changes into brutality and thrill in which light comedy has also been added but I would like to tell you that the movie is not family-friendly, some scenes are disturbing for kids and some scenes are such that you might feel awkward while watching it in front of family, so be careful.

Keeping in mind the overall presentation of the movie and the convincing acting of the cast, it can be easily given 3.5 out of 5 stars.

So now it's your choice - watch The Electric State at home or go to the theater and watch Novocaine. Well, I know that those who watch The Electric State at home will also watch Novocaine at home using tips and tricks.

Well, let it go, it's your choice.

See you soon.
