Who Won at the 2026 Golden Globes?
See the Complete Winners List

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association recognized Hollywood's most distinguished talents across television, film, and podcasts for the first time ever. Among the night's notable winners in the film industry were the Paul Thomas Anderson thriller "One Battle After Another" and "Hamnet," which stars Golden Globe winners Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal.
Television's big winners included Seth Rogen's "The Studio" and "Adolescence."

If you observed Paul Thomas Anderson receiving multiple awards at the Golden Globes and wondered whether that was Maya Rudolph he kissed after each victory, your assumption is correct. Anderson and Rudolph are long standing partners who have four children together. The director of One Battle After Another and the former Saturday Night Live star met at an SNL after-party over twenty years ago, Rudolph informed Town & Country magazine in 2024.

During the Golden Globes, host Nikki Glaser honored the late director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele by wearing a "Spinal Tap" hat. Reiner, who directed the iconic 1984 film "This Is Spinal Tap" and its sequel released in 2025, tragically lost his life alongside Michele in their Brentwood, California home on December 14. He gained fame through Norman Lear's sitcom "All in the Family" and is celebrated for classic films such as "When Harry Met Sally…," "Stand By Me," and "The Princess Bride."
"Hamnet" clinched the Golden Globe for best drama film, surpassing contenders like "Frankenstein," "It Was Just An Accident," "The Secret Agent," "Sentimental Value," and "Sinners." The award was accepted onstage by executive producer Steven Spielberg and director Chloé Zhao. If you have not yet viewed it, it is outstanding. Steven Spielberg demonstrates exceptional skill in film production. By the way, Steven Spielberg is producing a blockbuster film titled "Disclosure Day," scheduled for release on June 12, 2026, this summer. Watch the trailer here.
The film One Battle After Another, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, was a significant recipient at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, securing four awards: Best Comedy or Musical, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actress for Taylour Paige.
Bob is a disillusioned revolutionary who resides in a state of intoxicated paranoia, living off the grid with his resilient and self-sufficient daughter, Willa. When his malevolent adversary reemerges and Willa disappears, the former revolutionary endeavors to locate her as both father and daughter confront the repercussions of their histories. It is a commendable film, but Leonardo DiCaprio could have selected more suitable roles. He is an exceptional actor. Suppose there is no iceberg in this film.
Jessie Buckley was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) for her portrayal of Agnes, wife of William Shakespeare, in "Hamnet."
"We were recounting the story of perhaps the most renowned Brit to have ever lived, supported by a Chinese director, a predominantly Irish team, and largely Polish crew members, alongside our British family," Buckley stated in her acceptance speech.
The Apple TV series "The Studio" received the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series (Comedy), surpassing competitors including "Abbott Elementary," "The Bear," "Hacks," "Nobody Wants This," and "Only Murders in the Building."
Series creator Seth Rogen, who also received the award for Best Actor for "The Studio," stated in his acceptance speech, "We film our show in extended, uninterrupted takes, and a key reason for this approach is that it requires the entire crew to collaborate seamlessly in order to succeed." I would like to sincerely thank our team, most of whom are not typically invited to this event, but they certainly deserve to be.
Certainly, without your collective support, this production would not be feasible; therefore, I sincerely thank you all.
The actor also said he was "excited to get started shooting the next season one week from today!"
