WAITING TO DIE AGAIN
...it ain't over until it's over
HANGING ON EDGE IS INBRED MENTALITY where any film casting Bruce Willis is in effect. Forget your facial spa and know that "jaw drop" is the known innate expression. We all know that for over a decade imminent death from exploding helicopters or planes, rockets or rocket fire, flying sixteen wheelers or simply leaping from a speeding sixteen wheeler onto a bridge and back down onto traffic could be the true end of anyone playing up to die at any given point. True to the film industry, that never happens. But we are reassured that at least one more attempt will follow the many tries for at least the tune of another $83,000,000 to $135,500,000 dollars. They got a good thing rolling and they know it. The star actor gives them their money's worth... and they know he will. He presents them a broad spectrum of character types from the onset of his career and keeps watchers... fans built up over the span of a lifetime, hungry for his next appearance. The advent of new technology put to film somehow discredits the overall flavor by making the film look too hand-made. Some of the latest art appears to be made by use of phone cams depleting the "wow," something the actor nor the film production industry wants to risk. The investment needs to reap a quality effect. Stunts that are not pro-stunt prepped cause injuries and can potentially lead to death and lawsuits. The new approach taken with some camera techs for the initial or perhaps entire project leaves anyone paying for a ticket in or buying the take-home version of a movie made at the door of disappointment.
The cinematographer and the equipment used can make or break the entire set. Not knowing the best cam, angles, light and editing can lose all the best opportunity and vested time and money toward the finished product. Actors wages don't come cheap and although they are the ones to pace for lines and emphasis of expression or vocal tones read or memorized, it is the camera that has to be on cue and exact to limit excess shots being taken and excess director calls.
Typecasting an actor that can nearly rival the actions in a film featuring Bruce Willis would be a tough act in itself. Casting him along with someone with a similar track record and a movie theme with timely issues may get one of the top level red carpet awards into the actor's hands and refill a producer's bank roll. The right theme from a screenwriters notes could feed ideas into the general public or government issue of ideals and purposes. The right theme supported by a government entity for the improvement of its own procedures and agenda could set the general public on a refreshened path of supporting patriotic operations.
No charity or "not-for-profit" production, and no documentary or biographical deal but certainly a full feature film demonstrating traditional "rescue me" compassion on the edge of extreme and excess action, immoral drama and horrific tragedy. Rescue one or two women or ease the life or lives of innocent children for a moral cause. Prevent an oncoming generation of one noble population from falling inder failed hindsight or parental neglect while corraling guilty suspects in an open field, forest or mountain region. Give them the same popcorn demanding visual we have all grown accoustomed to expect from the likes of ...Bruce Willis. Now, all those notes in place and ready to act on tme, all you have to do is find yourself another Bruce Willis or get him to do a cameo. He's tired of dying.
yippe ky yay!
