The Unexpected Caregiver: The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting
Spoil-Free Anime Review

How did I come across this wholesome gem? I was watching Attack on Titan having my heart broken on repeat and decided I needed a little break. I went onto the site where I watch anime and clicked on the comedy genre. I clicked through a few and came across The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting. It reminded me of a few anime that I loved so I decided to give it a try. It did not let me down. This is one of those 12-episode anime that completely change your life.

The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting
Storyline: WHO’S YOUR NANNY? Kirishima Tooru is the right-hand man of the Sakuragi crime family. For him, the job is a perfect excuse to let his violent instincts run wild, earning him the nickname “the Demon of Sakuragi”. It seems like nothing will stand in the way of his vicious nature. But then one day, he receives an assignment like never before from the boss — babysitting his daughter! This is the heartwarming (or is it bloodcurdling?) story of a little girl and her yakuza caretaker!
Info: 12 Episodes
Genre: Comedy, Drama
Rating: TV-14

I am going to call this genre wholesome gangsters. What is not to love? Tough, badass, killers who are wholesome babysitters. This show reminds me of a mix of the ways of the house husband and buddy daddies. If you haven’t seen either of those you are missing out. These anime show that everyone can live a normal life and turn over a new leaf.
The animation and character design are amazing for a 12-episode anime. Every character is uniquely designed with quirky characters.
This anime only has 12 episodes, and they pack it with laughs and heartbreak. This is one of those shows that I don't understand aren't insanely popular.

The main character Tooru is now my husband. It is adorable to see someone nicknamed the demon learn how to be human. He struggles throughout the show but still is about to show his kindness and patience. He is proof that we can all start again and can learn so much from the children around us.

My Review: You have to watch this anime. It is only 12 episodes and it is a 10/10 for me. I was laughing and emotional and heartbroken when it was over. I will be reading the manga so I can see how the story continues. This anime will easily be one of my favorites from the year and I might have to rewatch it soon. This anime will leave you all warm, fuzzy, and happy. Please just watch it!

This Week’s Anime Recap: Series I Completed
Welcome to another week of completed anime! I struggle with watching shows weekly; I forget what I’m watching and get bored, however, right now, I am watching more shows than I ever thought I would weekly. That said, I watched more anime than I finished this week. However, I finished some pretty amazing anime this week, which I am excited to share with you.
Anime With The Most Shocking Ending
I have a useless talent for being able to guess the ending of any show or movie. I annoy people by spoiling whatever we watch 15 minutes in. When a show or movie can shock me with the ending, I instantly love it. I think not being able to guess the ending shows great writing and creativity. That’s one of the reasons I love anime so much. The worlds have unlimited possibilities; even if I think I know how the show will end,d they can completely flip the script for fun, kill the main character, or end the whole world.
Bye for now!!
