The Traitors US Season 4 Episode 2 Recap

Today we’re diving straight into episode 2 of The Traitors USA Season 4—aptly titled “The Death Conga.” If you missed last episode’s breakdown, go and read The Traitors Season 4 Recap of Episode 1.

Now… let’s get into the disaster spiral that was this episode.

Murder Plans & Traitorgate

We jump in right where episode 1 left off: Allan chose his Traitors—Candace, Lisa, and “Reptile Rob”—PLUS one secret Traitor lurking in the shadows. That secret Traitor anonymously submitted four targets for potential murder.

The trio now debates who to take out. Ian would weaken the strategic gamers. Mark would be a random hit. Eric, being quiet, would stir chaos. And in classic Reptile Rob fashion, he jokes that whoever they pick is “going to play blackjack with Jesus.” Dark, but very on-brand.

Breakfast Drama: Invisible Cigars & Emotional Odes

Players file into breakfast the next morning. Lisa pantomimes smoking an invisible cigar in confessional, giving herself a personal standing ovation for being Lisa effing Rinna. Honestly? Same.

Meanwhile, Tiffany and Monae catch Caroline up on the whole Porsche–Candace–Michael situation while Lisa smugly nods along like she’s watching a telenovela.

One by one people arrive—some safe, some fresh out of coffins. Derinda survived the night and gets a full emotional standing ovation. Don is just thrilled to still be surrounded by celebrities. Jam Jam tells Rob C that he genuinely thought Rob was dead, and now Rob feels like Jam Jam is setting him up.

Then Eric, Mark, and Michael walk in… meaning the Traitors chose to murder Ian. We get a flashback confirming they saw him as too big a threat. Ian is crushed, throws some polite shade on the way out, and that’s that.

Did Ian play poorly? Honestly, no. He did everything right—but he wasn’t giving memorable TV, so strategically it checks out.

Best Breakfast Fit Award

The first Breakfast Best Dressed Award? Mora.

Checked suit. Matching vest. Brown gloves. A wide-brim hat I didn’t even want to like—but she sold it. Respect.

Porsche’s Slip-Ups Start Piling Up

Players toast Ian, but Tiffany goes FULL emotional tribute, which makes Colton side-eye her like she’s trying too hard.

Then Alan enters in a blinding silver suit with matching silver shirt. The man committed.

Meanwhile, Monae and Jam Jam are quietly ogling Reptile Rob in the background. He is minding his baked goods while mentally accusing Michael of being sketchy.

Elsewhere, Porsche tells a group she thought Ian was a Traitor and then slips and says she killed Ian. Ron immediately clocks it.

Outside, Tiffany starts throwing suspicion at Donna, saying she’s not connecting with people. Colton is scared of the Swifties but still willing to vote Donna out if needed.

Inside, Porsche continues talking like she’s out here killing Faithfuls left and right. Ron, Donna, and Michael all catch the pattern—Porsche keeps slipping.

Daily Challenge: Thrones, Tokens & Time Pressure

Players hop into jeeps still talking about Porsche and Michael.

Jam Jam openly confesses that he’s desperate for a shield.

They arrive at a field where adorable doggie Lala is waiting. Yes, we all want to pet that dog. Yes, we all said the same thing.

Alan—now sporting a cape AND a feather—announces the challenge:

Three Thrones. Three Shields. Total Chaos.

  • Tiffany, Caroline, and Candace start seated on the thrones.
  • The group must pull the thrones through multiple zones.
  • At each zone are tokens that allow players to steal a throne.
  • If the team doesn’t cross the finish line in time, they win nothing.
  • And crucially—they must keep track of the time themselves. No Alan countdown.

Players dig through apples and mud, searching for coins and tokens.

Monae finds a token and hands it to Lisa, who boots Caroline from the throne.

Steven finds one, gives it to Derinda, who boots Candace.

Then another—Caroline boots Tiffany.

Then Mora boots Derinda.

Then Colton locks Lisa’s seat.

Then Reptile Rob gives the final token to Jam Jam, who boots Mora.

This is where Mora becomes professionally furious. She’s running like a woman whose rage is propelling her forward.

They reach the finish line with 10 minutes to spare and win $22,500 for the pot.

The shields go to:

  • Jam Jam
  • Caroline
  • Colton

Michael, of course, throws a tantrum because he didn’t get one.

Pre–Round Table Meltdown Hour

Inside, Michael is complaining nonstop. Kristen is blissfully buttering bread. Monae gets irritated that Donna refuses to talk strategy. Donna only wants to talk to Ron. Derinda insists Donna is nice and a Faithful. Candace STILL thinks Donna is the secret Traitor.

Colton pushes Donna’s name. Michael promises he’s going to “slay” at the round table. Porsche tries to defend Michael and accidentally blurts out there are FOUR Traitors. Ron catches that instantly and is convinced she exposed herself.

Except… she exposed herself as just a bad player.

Round Table: Chaos, Confusion & a Split Vote

The round table begins in painful silence until Natalie nervously calls out Donna for being stressed and standoffish. Donna explains she’s just quiet and socially awkward. Natalie isn’t buying it.

Ron lays out his three pieces of “evidence” against Porsche:

  • The miscommunication with Candace & Michael
  • Porsche repeatedly saying she “killed Ian”
  • Porsche claiming there are four Traitors

Porsche squirms, denies half of it, admits the other half, then gets backed up by Candace, who calls Porsche messy but insists Donna is still the real threat.

Ron defends Donna.

Candace pushes back.

Michael interrupts about shields again.

Eric tells him he’s a distraction.

Natalie says if Michael isn’t a Traitor, he’s just a bad Faithful.

When Michael says “We got rid of Ian,” the room collectively tenses. But they push forward to the vote:

  • Michael: 4 votes
  • Donna: 8 votes
  • Porsche: 10 votes

And Porsche is banished.

She reveals she’s Faithful, and the room collapses into disappointment. Ron apologizes. And honestly? Porsche wasn’t a Traitor—she was just catastrophically bad at defending herself.

Post-Banishment Fallout

Candace is frustrated and turns on Ron. Stanbury and Derinda now think Ron is a Traitor. Lisa gets side-eyed for turning on the Housewives alliance.

Don builds social capital by casually name-dropping Paul McCartney, earning laughs and fitting in smoothly.

The Murder in Plain Sight Twist

The Traitors receive instructions for a new twist:

They must murder someone in plain sight by retrieving tarot cards hidden in the kitchen and burning the card in the breakfast room.

If they succeed, they finally meet the secret Traitor.

If not, the murder is out of their hands.

Candace calls it “the greatest murder in Traitors history.”

No, girl. No, it’s not.

Her master plan?

Start a conga line.

Reptile Rob refuses to join, telling Tiffany he thinks something suspicious is happening. Meanwhile, he manages to grab the hidden cards and discovers the options:

  • Monae
  • Rob C
  • Tara
  • Kristen

He whispers the choices to Lisa under the guise of a chess lesson. Tara stands nearby watching like a hawk.

Candace remains oblivious as Lisa and Rob burn a card without her input.

She ends the episode not knowing who was murdered… or who the options even were.

Final Thoughts

This episode was peak madness in all the right ways.

  • Ian’s murder was smart and clean.
  • The challenge was fun and chaotic with all the throne swaps.
  • Porsche spiraled into self-destruction.
  • Michael is one meltdown away from turning purple.
  • Donna is still a baffling player.
  • And now the Traitors might finally meet their secret partner… unless they botched it.

Episode 3 is going to be wild.
