With No Time to Die will be the last James Bond film that Daniel Craig will be doing and one does have to wonder who will fill the big shoes of Ian Flemings most legendary spy and womanizer.

That being said, this article will be about who I think should be the next James Bond.

Idris Elba

When rumors spread that he would be the next James Bond, the right-wing nutjobs in America (including the late Rush Limbaugh) blasted this idea because they are bigoted a-holes, who probably never watched a bond film in their lives.

But seriously, I think the guy who played both Heimdall and Bloodsport should be given a chance to play the greatest spy in fiction. He is British after all, so I would think that would be enough of a requirement.

Jason Statham

Like Elba, he is as British as they come.

Granted, many of his films are gritty and action-packed, not much in the way of spies and espionage. He has in his films however, his characters have relied on gadgets, possess a knowledge/admiration for nice cars and has had no trouble getting the ladies which has been a must for everyone who has ever played 007.

Richard Armitage

The Sheriff of Nottingham and Thorin Oakenshield are two of the most iconic roles for this actor. So why not give him a leading role in one of the most iconic movie series ever?

Henry Golding

Though he was born in Betong, Sarawak, Malaysia, he was raised in England and even though he moved back to Malaysia, he still has a British accent. He has been approached on the matter of being the the next James Bond, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

If it's a good idea to suggest that Idris Elba should be the first Black person to play James Bond, why not have Henry Golding be the first Asian play James Bond?

Chiwetel Ejiofor

Famous for playing Mordo and voicing Scar in the live-action Lion King movie, this London born actor should be another black actor to be considered for the role of Ian Flemings most famous spy.

Christian Bale

The Welsh born actor known for playing Batman/Bruce Wayne and Patrick Bateman in American Psycho has not been approached about playing the role of James Bond. Why should he not be a choice for playing 007? As Batman he was used to using gadgets when not cracking the skulls of bad guys and as Bruce Wayne, he was quite the charmer. All qualities need for anyone to play 007.

David Harewood

With the series Supergirl ending after six seasons, the Martin Manhunter himself will have to find other acting gigs. Why not have yet another Afro-English actor be given a chance to make it to the big screen as James Bond?

Johnny Lee Miller

Famous for playing Sherlock Holmes in CBS series Elementary and having once been married to Angelina Jolie, why not move him to the big screen as 007?

Matt Ryan

Known for playing/voicing John Constantine and of course being a stage actor (not surprising) this fine actor should be given more of a chance to appear on the big screen. He does a good job of playing a smooth talker and enjoying the booze too much. Why would he not make a good choice for James Bond?

Johnathan Cake

Known for playing Tyrannus of Rome in the TV mini-series Empire and playing Blackbeard in episodes 12 and 13 of season 3 in DC's Legends of Tomorrow and is currently playing Shade/Richard Swift in season 2 of DC's Stargirl, I feel this Sussex born actor should be given more time on the big screen. So why not give him a chance a being Ian Fleming's famous character?

Jude Law

He played the famous Soviet sniper Vassili Zaitsev in Enemy at the Gates, Sky Captain in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Captain Hook in the upcoming Peter Pan and Wendy film and of course being John Watson in the previous two Sherlock Holmes films and will be reprising his role as the famous partner in the upcoming third installment of the film series.

He certainly has a handsome face, was a ladies-man in Alfie, is not unfamiliar with action sequences and the use of gadgets (Sherlock Holmes of course), so I think that like Jason Statham and Christian Bale, he would be a good choice for the role of Bond, James Bond.
