I'm going to be starting off a new section with these reviews I'm doing called 'The Greatest Movies Ever Made'. Honestly though, these are entirely my own opinion so I apologise if you do not see the one you want that week or you don't really think that week was something you agreed with. I care about your opinion enough to read it but unfortunately, you really couldn't change my mind if you tried. There are certain movies I value as being additions to culture and ones I don't. If you don't see the film you want to see that week then maybe it'll stick around next week or the week after.

These articles will be split into a few parts and will, as of yet, come out weekly. Here are the sections as follows:

From: Ever Present

1) Introduction

The introduction will mainly consist of me going on about something to do with the movie. Whether it is the fact it was underrated on release or if the film was supposed to be historical but had no historical accuracies about it. There is always something to say to give you a short introduction to what you're about to encounter. I am always ready for this.

2) Plot

We are going to look at what the movie is about and what themes or ideas it addresses. I want this to be as simple as possible. As I have always said, there's a line by Einstein (I think) that if you can't explain it to a five year old then you don't know it yourself. So don't expect there to be any film jargon that regular folk would not understand here. I am all for explaining myself so even if I do use it, I will always let you in on the 'secret' academics don't want you to know because it makes them feel like they aren't so 'above' after all.

3) Appraisals and Awards

Do I think certain prestigous awards were deserved for this film? Plus, were there any unnecessary criticisms I need to address? Was the film overlooked for any reason? This is important for me because often critics will overlook films that audiences often enjoy. The films themselves become instant classics but win hardly any awards - there is therefore a great disparity between public opinion and critical analysis and this needs to be addressed.

4) Legacy

Is there a legacy to this film and if there is, what is it? How and why is this film remembered? What is the legacy of the film and how does it go about retaining it?

5) My Personal Opinion

I would be more than happy for you to share your opinion of the movie beneath or via emailing me like some people do (though I don't know how these people got my email address and if you recognise who you are then please, I beg of you, stop it).

6) Conclusion

A little conclusion by me that seeks to please the audience with its word salad of phrases about how great this film is. Often I have more to say, but I feel it best to keep this one to about six different sections as an absolute limit.

From: Wikipedia

When it comes to structure I have to tell you, I can't write without one. I always plan my structure before I begin because it helps me fill in the gaps. I am more than happy to write my opinions whatever they may be, as long as I have got a clear structure of how it is supposed to go.

Hopefully we both understand each other as to how this is going to happen and the fact that it will be every week. I hope I have chosen some nice films for you to enjoy reading about and (hopefully) if you haven't seen them, you will enjoy watching.

Now, on with the science-fiction double-feature...

I think you get it...

Next week comes Part 1 of the series and if you don't get the reference then you should probably start looking ahead of next week.

I mean, your opinion is your opinion. No one should even try to change that. Looking forward to this series!
