Ridge is being hardheaded

The Bold and the Beautiful viewers may have to wait for a while to see the conclusion of the Bridge love story. In the meantime, there could be a proposal and possibly a marriage. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) is a stubborn man. He immediately kicked Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) to the curb when he wrongly believed she had betrayed him.

He immediately went back to the waiting arms of Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) and is sticking with his decision. Eric Forrester (John McCook) set his son and Brooke up with the showstopper, hoping they would feel the magic and reunite.

Both Eric and Brooke have told Ridge that Bridge is destiny, but he refuses to follow his heart. He expressed his anger to his father for pulling the showstopper stunt. He is going to stand by Taylor and honor his commitment even though he has never told anyone that he loves her madly.

B&B fans believe Bridge will reunite

When Taylor told Ridge she loved him earlier this week, he replied he loved her too, but his heart was not in it. Steffy Forrester (Jackie Wood) keeps telling her mother she has nothing to worry about, but both know it's only a matter of time before Ridge and Brooke reunite.

It will not be now, as Eric and his former wife/daughter-in-law believe, but it will happen. In the meantime, Jack Wagner is returning to B&B as Nick Maroni, and spoilers tease he and Brooke will reunite while he is comforting her over the loss of Ridge.

Will Ridge put a ring on it?

Ridge will feel he has to do something drastic to seal the deal with Taylor so everyone will believe he is committed to her. He may become tired of everyone talking about his destiny and feel he has to take action so that he will be left alone.

The thing is, he cannot run from what is in his heart. Prior to their breakup, Brooke said she did not need a wedding ring, but would be devastated if her man put one on her rival's finger. The logical step for Ridge would be to propose to Steffy and Thomas Forrester's (Matthew Atkinson) mother and attempt to appease the naysayers.

Nick may be a distraction

The announcement of an engagement will shock everyone, but it will please Steffy and Taylor. Nick may show up as Ridge proposes or after he and Taylor are married. This might be what pushes Brooke over the edge and into her former husband's arms again.

There may be a period where Brooke is with Nick while Taylor and Ridge seem happy, but longtime B&B viewers know it won't last. If Taylor and Steffy discover the intention behind Eric's plan, they will be angry with him. Ridge is spinning it as just business, but his father believes he and Brooke are destined to be together.

Ridge will do his best to make Taylor happy

Ridge will probably pull out all the stops to wine and dine Dr. Hayes and make her feel loved and cherished, but fans will know his heart is elsewhere. Could Ridge become jealous when Nick returns and pursues Brooke?

It's one thing to have his former wives vying for his attention, with one waiting in the wings while he is with the other. Things will be different with Ridge reliving the moment Brooke was in the gown, beckoning for him, but knowing she is in Nick's bed.

Stay tuned to The Bold and the Beautiful to learn whether Ridge makes Taylor his wife and how long before he acknowledges he wants Brooke. When he finally reaches out to her, it could be too late.
