Is this Scott Clifton's swan song?

Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful can't help but notice the extreme emphasis on the daddy-daughter dance that Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) wants her dad, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), to attend. This makes viewers wonder about Liam's fate and whether he will survive.

The popular soap vet has been on the back burner for the past three or four months as the drama unfolded at Forrester Creations. During that time, B&B executive producer Brad Bell revealed that Clifton's character would have a front-burner storyline, and now he does. There is, however, a burning question on everyone's minds. Is the dance going to be Liam's swan song?

B&B fans are leery of fake news

Viewers recall waiting for months to find out if Eric Forrester (John McCook would live or die when he was coughing up blood. Rumors ran rampant that the actor was retiring, leaving the CBS soap, and Eric would die.

Fake news using an old article from 2019 appeared, stating that McCook had signed a new three-year contract, leading his followers to believe his character would survive.

After viewers realize the Forrester patriarch will live, McCook says he cannot reveal Eric's outcome amid the rumors. Perhaps Clifton and the rest of the cast are now under a gag order to keep the truth under wraps until it plays out on screen.

Will Finn save the day again?

Many B&B fans believe Liam will also survive, but they understand that the CBS soap has to milk the situation much like it did with Eric. Doctors Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) and Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) have determined that Liam has an inoperable brain tumor. This news will devastate his loved ones.

Many fans believe John Finnigan (Tanner Novlin) will find a miracle cure for his stepdaughter's father, just as he did for Steffy Finn's (Jacqueline Wood) grandfather. Other viewers suggest that all the talk about the daddy-daughter dance seems ominous and suspect, and they brace themselves for other possibilities.

Liam will fight to get to Kelly

Liam will not desire to remain in the hospital as he will be frantic to keep his promise to his daughter. He might attempt to get out of bed against the doctor's orders and head to the dance, only to experience a severe fall. Finn might have to take his place and dance with Kelly, which will be disappointing.

There is also a worst-case scenario that some spoiler alerts and fans suggest. Liam could defy medical advice and make his way to the dance. Just as the song is ending, he might collapse on the dance floor and be returned to the hospital. Or he could fall dead after keeping his promise to his child.

Could this be Liam and Kelly's last dance?

There has been no news about Scott Clifton leaving B&B, but Wood will be going on maternity leave soon and needs an exit plan. Some fans assumed the pressure would mount due to Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) and Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) leading Steffy to take her children and leave LA for a while.

Steffy found her ex-husband after he fell unconscious and has remained supportive during his ordeal. Could Liam have to go to an out-of-town medical facility where his life will be saved, and Kelly's mom accompany him? If this happens, Clifton will be off-camera again after just returning.

Be looking for spoilers, breaking news, and updates for The Bold and the Beautiful to learn whether this will be Liam and Kelly's last dance.
