The Best Contemporary Romance Books I've Read This Year

This year has been booming with newly released books and bringing attention to already released books that deserve the attention but were not receiving. Social media platforms have turned into a place for creators, especially books lovers, to give recommendations of their favorite books or upcoming books. I have turned to various social media platforms and blogs this past year to get many of my book recommendations and some of my new favorite reads. Among these recommendations were many new and old contemporary romance novels that were under appreciated and not getting the hype they deserved. I will give the contemporary romance novels recommended to me this past year, which turned into some of my favorite books of the genre.

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

Release date: May 14, 2019

When everyone gets food poisoning at Olive's sister's wedding except for Olive and the groom's brother Ethan, the two must pretend to be the happily married couple to ensure the honeymoon does not go to waste. The only thing is that the two absolutely detest one another and now have to try to put their hate for one another aside and enjoy their free vacation to Maui. This humorous and lovable enemies-to-lover romantic comedy will have you rooting for these two characters to become more and have you fuming at the plot twist you will never expect. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the enemies-to-lovers trope and romantic comedies, it is a delightful book to read, and hopefully, you will love it as much as I did.

With no otehr option Jessie agrees but does not go down without a fight and carryouts revenge whenever she can. This is a story of enemies to lovers that is hilarious, heartwarming, and will make you instantly fall in love with the characters and story.
