The Fandom Dictionary
Are you fresh on the fandom scene and a little confused by all the lingo? Well, I don’t blame you, young padawn. Even if you’re overwhelmingly informed about all your favorite fictional worlds—and know how to say “Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist” in Elvish, Entish and High Valyrian—the world of fandoms has a vocabulary all it’s own, one you’ll need to know to navigate the waters safely.

Best Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Tales
What makes the Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors Tales so scary is that this stuff can come out of the mind of Matthew "Matt" Groening. He is a comedic genius, artist and probably really rich. I decided to take a look back at some of the past Simpsons’ Halloween offerings that still have me laughing to this day.

Actual Sci Fi and Fantasy Classes That Get You College Credit
While your mom might question how watching Battlestar Galactica could possibly be considered educational, a whole bunch of college professors have somehow managed to convince their department chairs that your mom is wrong. (Just about the Battlestar Galactica thing. Otherwise, moms are always right.) Sure, it’s deeply meaningful and has a lasting effect on culture and taps into truths about who we are as human beings, but it’s also FUN. Marvel at the stupefying genius of the academics who made it possible for you to get credit for reading Hitchhiker’s Guide and doing your final project on cyborgs--if you’re lucky enough to go to the universities that offer them. (Of course, this list don’t include the many Science Fiction Literature or Fantasy Literature classes you can take at colleges all over the country. You’ve probably got a decent shot at finding one of those.)

'The Walking Dead' Comics Vs TV Show
The Walking Dead has become a sensation on TV ever since it made the zombie apocalypse both believable and relatable. Whether watching or reading, it has made its scrappy group of survivors seem like mythic figures, as well as the person next door. Though the TV show has a great backstory to follow with years of storylines created by the comic, there is enough of a difference to keep even the most diehard of readers guessing as to where the story will go next. I’ll take a look at three differences and three similarities that keep bringing people back to The Walking Dead.

Knight Rider’s Original High-Tech Car K.I.T.T.
The novelty of a self-driving car has worn off in an era where reality exceeds vintage sci-fi shows like Knight Rider. The David Hasselhoff-driven action series was a seminal hit in the 1980s. Like many shows from that decade, it enlightened a generation of dreamers to turn fantasy into reality. From Tesla to Google, the new era of the automotive industry promises to make Knight Rider’s K.I.T.T. proud to be the original high-tech car.
