How 'Arrow' Was Destroyed By the Arrowverse
The first season of Arrow was grounded and dark, unlike any superhero show that had come before it. Oliver Queen and his alter ego (he was the Hood back then) spent five years on a seemingly deserted island before finding a way home. The Hood (or the Green Arrow, as he would come to be known) spent his nights using a list his father had provided him with to rid the streets of crime. And by rid, I mean brutally murder with as many arrows as he could possibly fit in them. And it was great television. The villain was grounded, he was a man who had trained in archery and had loose ties to Ra's al Ghul. The first series was also not afraid to sacrifice characters, with Oliver's best friend Tommy dying in the finale. All of them made for a gritty, violent and most of all entertaining take on the superhero genre.

'Survivor: Edge of Extinction' Episode 10
Wow! What an amazing episode of Survivor tonight! First off, nice to see them have a previously part again. That comes and goes this season for some reason. Also, great job to Ron and WarDog on blindsiding Wentworth, that was a great move. It will definitely change the game, so it should be fascinating. Also, it is that surprising Julie isn't mad at Ron, but I'm glad to see people not taking it too personally. Plus, he voted Kelley, not Julie, so he really didn't betray her. However, Lauren definitely didn't appreciate the move, wanting WarDog out immediately as a result. Then, WarDog made it worse by talking to Gavin like a dog, losing Gavin as well.

Has 'Game of Thrones' Lost Its Edge?. Top Story - April 2019.
SPOILERS! But who hasn't seen Game of Thrones. Come on. Think back to the ninth episode of season three, when Robb Stark was preparing to marry Queen Talisa. A huge crowd had gathered to watch the festivities, and it seemed that the King of the North was headed for a happy ending. Other fan favourites were in attendance, such as Robb's mother Lady Catelyn, but that did not stop the shocking tragedy from unfolding. Robb, his new wife, and his mother were all savagely murdered at the hands of Walder Frey. This, for me especially, was one of the most shocking moments I have seen in any television series, and it highlighted the fact that the show was not going to rest on its laurels. The killing of Eddard Stark in season one was not a fluke. This show is brutal. And it made it clear that it was going to continue to sacrifice main characters in the most heinous way possible.
