'Neo Yokio'
Alright, let’s talk Neo Yokio: For those unfamiliar, it’s a Netflix original anime about a demon-slaying aristocrat, starring none other than Jaden Smith and produced by Vampire Weekend frontman, Ezra Koenig. Some people hate it, some people love it. I for one, belong to the latter group of people. Now I understand it’s not everyone’s cup of tea — the voice acting and animation style seem to be a big turn off for critics. But while it might not have been what viewers initially expected, I think this show takes some big risks in framing its not-so-subtle message. And if you take a closer look, (passed all the demons and robot butlers), Neo Yokio is a satirical, but somewhat plausible outlook on the near-future of our hyper-commodified culture.

Meet the Queens of 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5' Before They Are Announced
It seems like only yesterday the relatively disliked ending of All Stars 4 hit our screens, seeing the double crowning of Trinity The Tuck and Monét X Change. The season was overall very successful for the franchise, with the initial cast announcement being extremely well received, and now filming has begun on All Stars 5!

My Top 4 "Say No to Drugs" Cartoon Show Episodes
The "War on Drugs" was such a big thing in the 1980s, as it should have been. Warning young kids against the evils of illegal substances and the people who sell them was and is important. Kidvid, in the 80s, was a huge part of this, as just about every kids' show, animated or live action, had a "just say no" episode. Here I give you my personal favorites from the era. The criteria: It has to be a show's regular episode—no specials. Here it goes.

'Game of Thrones' Thoughts
Well, the title says it all. Another rant or rave about GOT S8, right? Wrong. Well, partially right. Since it has been about a month since the final episode aired I've had time to reflect on the series as a whole. Was the show good, bad, or ugly? In truth, it is all three. The first couple of episodes of season one were so damn dry, but it wasn't their fault. They had to establish a lot in those episodes to avoid it later. Everybody's got to start somewhere. Yes, having read the books does give an advantage for the first four seasons, and parts of season five. You know what's going to happen, you can tell which characters are spliced together, and you have faith in how it's being portrayed. Most importantly, you can sit there smug while your non-book reader friends watch the Red and Purple Weddings. Gets me every time, I swear. We had a good thing going for everyone.

My Top 4 Favorite Kidvid Cartoon Companies (In No Particular Order)
I was born in 1959, so I grew up with the Saturday Morning Kidvid Phenomenon. It was a time when there were only three major networks (ABC, CBS and NBC, if you must know), and while there were shows in syndication back when I was a kid, the good ones were on during the weekends. There were several kidvid companies competing for our shortening attention spans, but for me, four of them stood out. Here they are.

The 20 Best Tyrion Lannister Quotes from ‘Game of Thrones’ Seasons One to Eight
He drinks and knows things, and also loves to cite quotes from a wise man (who is basically himself). Yes, we are speaking of the witty and sharp-tongued Tyrion Lannister. He who has masterfully articulate dozens of memorable lines in Game of Thrones, most of which are nuggets of wisdom, which we can actually live by in the real world.
