The Euphoria Special Episodes: Which One Was Better?
In 2020, I met up with Euphoria casting assistant, Alan Scott Neal, three times. The first time was in person around mid-March, at a little NYC space called The Acting and Voice Studios. Euphoria was all anyone could talk about. Casting calls were released for several new characters, and the show would start shooting by the end of the month. Alan concluded our class saying, "I'm flying to California for the first time tomorrow!" From pictures released a few days later, it was clear he had attended the Euphoria Season 2 table read. If not that, he had another Euphoria duty to attend to. He was a busy man.

An Ancient Game and an Even More Decrepit Perspective
2020 was a rough year for all of us - but especially for new content releases. With the erratic stops and starts of production all over the world matched with the need for all to stay inside since March, by June, many of us had burned through all that Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Amazon Prime and Disney+ have to offer. When there is a new release – be it film or show – it is consumed swiftly, whether good, bad, or ugly. Most have disappointed, but we watch anyway, in horror and I personally, have stopped getting my hopes up.

My Top 5 Favorite Netflix Shows That Will Take You Back in Time
In a time when many find themselves with nothing but time, I find myself watching a lot of television. I consider myself to be quite the connoisseur with regards to the variety of TV that I watch, ranging in genres such as true crime, fantasy, romance, comedy, and much more. In order to keep things fresh and properly enjoy each individual show, I have developed a system of watching different genres on a rotation. This enables me to come into the plot with a fresh perspective that isn't bias based on the previous show I finished. A great example of this is how just the other week my mother and I binge-watched the newest season of "Wentworth" a tv show based on a woman's prison, only to switch over to a new one of our new favorites "Schitt's Creek" which is a comedy of a once rich family who lost everything and is now living in a small rural town in the middle of nowhere. To summarise you can trust me as a reliable source that the next 5 shows I will be listing off are some of the best historical fiction you can find on Netflix.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK Season 2 Episode 2 Power Ranking
Let me start off by giving what may be a controversial (yet brave) opinion: this season of Drag Race UK is far more compelling to me than the Drag Race U.S. season that's currently airing. I think international Drag Race (at least the English language seasons) has yet to miss. The first seasons of Drag Race UK and Canada's Drag Race were some of my favorite seasons ever, and with this season already being amazing and Drag Race Down Under coming later this year, I think Drag Race U.S. could have some competition.

Recap on Brooklyn 99's "Lights Out" episode
In the final episode of season seven of Brooklyn 99, titled "Lights Out", we see our favorite characters being their usual selves in entirely new situations. This episode wasn't the best of season seven, but every character got to be a part of this episode and be able to showcase their best talents as they all pull together for a great ending to the season. The episode begins when all of Brooklyn experiences a blackout. We see Hitchcock and Scully spring to action by eating all the food before it goes bad (don't get distracted by the frosting, guys), Amy runs a whole precinct while Rosa gets grossed out over childbirth (Please don't show her page 214). Lastly, Jake and Charles are on the case of finding out what caused the blackout, setting in motion a string of incidents for them to encounter on their way back to the precinct (including female public urination) with the perp, an old-fashioned woman named Dotty, and a PedalPub bachelorette party.

“Do You Know What a Hero Complex is, Diego?”
If somebody was to say to you ‘superhero television’ you may be forgiven for thinking of the television programmes of Marvel, DC or the one-series-wonder that was Watchmen. You might even cast your mind back to Heroes or Misfits of the last decade. It’s perhaps very unlikely that your first thought would be The Umbrella Academy, unless of course that’s exactly why you sought out this post.

The First Poet To Win America's Got Talent
Earlier this week, I met with my Grandparents to get groceries and to help with their own shopping. I was struggling, in that moment, to stay focused because I knew I was behind on writing a story this week and still had no idea what to write.
