Review of 'House of the Dragon' 1.1-1.3
It's been two months since I posted any reviews here -- I've been busy expanding my alternate history story, It's Real Life, in a novel, and helping put together a radioplay of the story -- and I figured House of the Dragon would be a good time to resume my reviewing. I saw the first three episodes, and I really enjoyed them. Indeed, I liked them more than some of Game of Thrones. Here are some non-spoiler reasons:

'House Of The Dragon': Why Queen Alicent's Grand Entrance May Be The Most Pivotal Moment Of The Series So Far
WARNING! SPOILERS for House Of The Dragon 1x05, 'We Light The Way'. Any Game Of Thrones fan will know that nothing good happens at a wedding in Westeros. It is far more likely for the event to end in tragedy than with the couple happily wed. Game Of Thrones prequel House Of The Dragon continues this unfortunate tradition.

Westworld and the Limits of White Imagination
Thomas Jefferson described the relationship with the men and women he enslaved as holding "a wolf by the ear, and we can neither hold him nor safely let him go." While he allegedly favored "gradual emancipation," he feared that sudden liberation would result in a race war. We will discuss this fear in greater detail later, but keep it in the back of your mind as we examine the sci-fi hit Westworld and how it relates to revolution and imagination.

The Vampire Diaries Ruined My Life
Okay, yes... I am once again being dramatic. If you're currently watching The Vampire Diaries, or either of the two spin offs (The Originals or Legacies), I would recommend skipping this article. If you plan on watching any of them in the future, I would also recommend leaving now. My goal isn't to drop major spoilers here, but it's bound to happen.

My thoughts on Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (Spoilers!)
So a couple of days ago I finally got the chance to watch Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and I gotta say that I loved that movie from start to finish. I watched Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z growing up and this movie took me on a huge nostalgia trip. It also gave me a decent amount of satisfaction because the primary focus of the movie was on Gohan and Piccolo! Honestly, at this point I can't think of I didn't like about the movie. Let's get into why!

'The Walking Dead' is More About Now and the Beginning of the World Than the End
Photo by Gage Skidmore Zombies ate my neighbors and are everywhere. So much so, that all I could think was "When will we be done with all this?" as The Walking Dead commercials ran incessantly. But I was told that it held great thought provoking science fiction currency so I decided to take a look after several years on the sidelines.

House of The Dragon: Episode Two Review
The second episode of House of the Dragon returns us to form with a familiar and brand new cinematic opening. While the strings play in the background, the camera pans over a replica of Old Valyria with the crests of individual Targaryens engraved onto gold plates. The blood represents new generations, with one, in particular, splitting off nine times in one shot. It sure was a nostalgic trip to hear the Game of Thrones theme song, and it was a perfect way to start off the new episode.
