'House of the Dragon': Aegon's Destruction Of His Father's Model City Foreshadows A Growing Problem For The Targaryen Dynasty
WARNING! SPOILERS for House of the Dragon 2x02, 'Rhaenyra the Cruel'. Early in 'Rhaenyra the Cruel', the second episode of House of the Dragon's second season, we see King Aegon II, mad with grief over the death of his young son Jaehaerys, destroy a model city belonging to his late Father, King Viserys. Though not a sympathetic character, Aegon's grief over his son's death is understandable. Still, many fans were upset at the destruction of Viserys's treasured model.

The FALLOUT Series and the Question of Enemies
Just binge watched the entire season of FALLOUT. All eight episodes in a row because I’m a good little film addict that way. The end credits were coming up with he sun and I have to say it was worth the rough day ahead. That's how good I think the show is.

Eric miniseries (2024) review
When 9-year-old Edgar disappears on his way to school, his father becomes convinced that the only way to get him back home is to get his creation, Eric (a seven-foot-tall puppet) on TV. Bizarre as this outline may be, Eric the mini-series, is an incredibly dense and beautiful story of the scars left due to parental neglect in 1980s New York.

Is True Detective: North Country the return of the True Detective series?
True Detective is finally back with Season 4, five years after the 3rd. Seasons 2 and 3 never reached the prestige or excellence of Season 1, but diehard fans of the show never gave up hope. While True Detective: North Country doesn’t match up to the level of the first one, it is enjoyable and suspenseful on its own merit.

2023 The Year of Women and Fridging. Top Story - June 2024.
2023 was an incredible year for women in film. Between Beyonce and Taylor’s concert movies, Barbie and 1 single woman getting nominated for best director at the Oscars there was a lot to celebrate. But just like with anything the universe seeks balance and in 2023 we nerds also experienced something on page and screen that we should have evolved out of decades ago. In the year of Barbie we had not 1, but 2 incidents of fridging in the comic book universe. Both came from Marvel and both are inexcusable. I would love to celebrate how far representation in this field has come, really I would. But I can not do that if we are still making the same mistakes. I am not going to celebrate that there is now less sexual assault in comics. I am not going to celebrate that fridging is less common. I am not going to celebrate that women are infantilized less often in comics. I will not celebrate less. Not in 2024 when every grown person on the planet should know better. I will not be celebrating less. I will celebrate when women are ALWAYS treated like human beings, fictional or not.

Desperate Housewives
The beginning of season 2 starts right where season 1 left off. Bree is grieving in isolation. Lynette is headed to work per her husband's request. Susan is in the hospital after the fallout with Zach and Mike. And Gabrielle throws John out of her house after he revealed to Carlos that he was the one that she was having an affair with. Oh and we have new neighbors on Wisteria lane. Not quite sure what the overall mystery for the season is going to be but we are starting off well with a very easy to follow timeline. I appreciate that we went straight from season 1 to season 2 with no time in between.

Ranking X-Men Relationships
The X-Men are one of the most recognized and celebrated teams in all of comics. For many reasons the X-Men are beloved. One of those reasons is that despite their superhuman powers most of their interpersonal struggles are very grounded and very real. Allowing the audience to more closely relate to this band of misfits. One of my personal favorite parts of the X-Men are their romantic relationships. When we talk about Jean and Scott you have to also bring up Logan. There is no talking about Rogue without mentioning Gambit. So who is the best X-Men couple? Well first let’s lay down some ground rules; both members of the relationship have to have spent at least most of their time as members of the X-Men. I love Storm and T’Challa too but he is not an X-Man and therefore can not be included on this list.

House of the Dragon Ep. 2
We started off the new season of House of the Dragon with a grieving Rhaenyra, blood and cheese and a disgusting display between Alicent and crispy Cole. There is obviously going to be some fallout here in the second episode. With blood and cheese the dance has officially started and now the war is no longer about the throne, it is about vengeance and loss. So let’s get into House of the Dragon season 2 episode 2.
