Villainess Review: Kathy Meyers (DC's Legends of Tomorrow)
I still remember seeing the promo for this episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, but more on that later. The episode, titled "Slay Anything," centered on Freddy Meyers, a notorious serial killer who slaughtered several students on the night of his school's prom in 1989, and he was executed for his crimes in 2004. The Legends were tasked with this case due to hearing about the coroner suddenly being killed, and it actually saw the Legends split up and travel to two different timelines. Sara, Ava, and Mick went to 2004, as the coroner's murder took place during that year, while Nate and Ray actually went to 1989, as they were planning to change things for Freddy and save him from his fate as a killer.

Reviewing the American Horror Stories Premiere and its Octet of Villainesses
I am proud to say that I've watched American Horror Story since Day One in 2011, and I have the DVDs and Blu-Rays to prove it. It is, without question, FX's best show, and even though the pandemic slowed things down, the show that I and others truly love will be back on TV soon. This, however, is about the spinoff, American Horror Stories, which is a spinoff to the long running series co-created by the legendary duo of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. The series' opening season consists of seven episodes, all of which will air exclusively on FX on Hulu, and the series kicked off with the two-part opener, "Rubber (Wo)Man."

Villainess Review: Christina Riley (Superboy)
I had been familiar with the Superboy comics and TV series, but regarding the latter, I hadn't seen a snippet of it until about a decade ago on YouTube, and it was this very episode, "Werewolf." So in the episode, the Daily Planet received a brief piece of video footage from a young woman named Christina Riley, who later reveals that the video provided evidence of a werewolf prowling in the woods. After Clark Kent voiced his belief in Christina's statements, he is paired with Christina on this quest, which features Christina naming a suspect: Professor Canaris.

Top 5 Best "Goosebumps" Heel Turns
Who doesn't love the Goosebumps books and TV series? I certainly did and still do. I remember as a kid seeing a whole bunch of kids with a Goosebumps book in their possession and having to have them, and no sooner did I buy some of the books that a Goosebumps TV show began airing as part of the Fox Kids lineup--naturally, I watched. I've been a diehard R.L. Stine fan ever since; Goosebumps, Fear Street, The Nightmare Room, The Haunting Hour, you name it. He's basically a family-friendly version of Stephen King.

Villainess Review: Kara Clayton (Bull)
The CBS series, Bull, had its share of fantastic villainesses, and just like the show's first season, the second season began with a very fiendish one in the form of Kara Clayton. She is married to elderly and very wealthy Marcus Clayton, and the episode (and second season overall) began with Kara approaching Marcus and making a pair of attempts to coerce him to change their prenuptial agreement. After Marcus refused, Kara suddenly took out a knife and stabbed herself three times, prompting Marcus to take the weapon away from his wife, only for Kara to pull out the true weapon--a gun--and shoot her husband to death. She fired three shots at Marcus and donned latex gloves during the murder; gloves that she later shredded.

Villainess Review: Lt. Debra Hughes (CSI)
The CSI episode, "The Fallen," began with D.B. Russell being informed by Debra Hughes, a lieutenant in the LVPD, about a teen criminal who blew up a BMW belonging to a politician, with the meeting taking place before she sent her husband, Blake Hughes (a fellow officer and a subordinate), to the receptionist's desk. Afterwards, Mark Powell, a 16-year-old gunman, entered the station and shot Blake in his chest, and later fired more shots before taking Russell hostage. Mark also ended up killing another officer, Kenneth Matsuda, in his rampage.

Villainess Review: Michelle (Werewolf)
I'm a fan of werewolves in TV and film, and have been since the age of 11. One of the many werewolf related shows I did learn about was, of course, Werewolf, which was one of the Fox Network's first programs. The series' central protagonist, Eric Cord, had been on the pursuit of Janos Skorzeny since the pilot, which saw Eric afflicted with the werewolf curse after being attacked by his longtime friend, Ted Nichols, who revealed his blood tie to Skorzeny before the attack--as well as Ted's demise at Eric's hand.

Villainess Review: Alice Sands (Rizzoli & Isles)
Viewers just saw Annabeth Gish as Jennifer Dulos in Lifetime's true crime film, Gone Mom: The Disappearance of Jennifer Dulos, which is not Gish's first time in a Lifetime film--she appeared as the main protagonist in A Mother's Nightmare (which featured Grant Gustin, The Flash himself, playing Gish's son, and briefly returned in the sequel, A Father's Nightmare. In her amazing acting career, which includes (among other things) co-starring with Julia Roberts in Mystic Pizza, Gish has played her share of villainous roles, with the baddest one being Alice Sands, a recurring Big Bad who impacted the sixth season of Rizzoli & Isles, before officially appearing in the beginning of the show's seventh and final season.

Villainess Review: Kim Barnett (CSI: NY)
The CSI: NY episode, "Flash Pop," centered on the sudden murder of Jessica Drake, who worked at the NY crime lab, and what made it interesting was the fact that Jessica's murder copied the decades old murder of a woman named Lana Gregory. Jessica's inner circle included two of her fellow employees at the lab: Kim Barnett and Harlan Porter, with Jessica having dated the latter of the two.

Villainess Review: Sheila Porter (Law & Order: SVU)
To this day, I still remember the five-episode arc from Season 19 of Law & Order: SVU that gave us the legendary Brooke Shields; I even remember Shields promoting her SVU appearance. She kept the details of her character under wraps, but as we saw in the final moments of the episode, "Contrapasso," Shields was introduced as Sheila Porter, the maternal grandmother of Olivia Benson's adopted son, Noah Porter. This was a surprise to Olivia, as she had known Noah's late mother, Ellie Porter, and had believed that Ellie's mother had been deceased for some time.

Villainess Review: Mae Feinberg (The Mentalist)
The episode "Silver Wings of Time," began with a bomb going off near a bus station, very chaotic occurrence. The bomb killed a man named David Renaldo, who was revealed to be a friend of Luis Cruz. Why was the name Luis Cruz important? Because he was set to be executed in a matter of days. Cruz was arrested and convicted of the murder of a woman named Sarah Feinberg, which was committed 14 years prior to the events of the episode. Because of this, Sarah's widower, Dr. Edward Feinberg, was interviewed, with his second wife, Mae, at his side.

Villainess Review: Belinda Zalman (Beauty and the Beast)
Another show I enjoyed binge-watching was The CW's take on Beauty and the Beast, which featured its share of amazing villainesses, though the best one, IMO, was in the episode, "Heart of the Matter." The episode centered on wealthy philanthropist Marshall Zalman, who was dying of a heart condition and needed a transplant. Catherine Chandler and Vincent Keller ended up confronting the Zalmans at a gathering they were hosting, as they found out that Marshall's new heart had superhuman abilities, leading Cat to believe that Marshall was up to no good and planning to use the abilities for sinister purposes.
