During the Super Bowl LVI weekend, we had a number of big trailers dropped for upcoming movies and television series. While everyone was enjoying the Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness trailer, Marvel Studios also did a bit of a side load by dropping a new Moon Knight poster and trailer in the run-up to the release of the series on Disney+.

Six Years in the Making: an MCU Unpopular Opinion
As a fan of Marvel, movies, and Marvel movies, I look at superhero films through two lenses - the fanboy lens and the writer lens. The part of me that adores telling and consuming stories is more critical than the fan who’s just happy to see cool stuff on screen, but I believe in balance. A good superhero movie should satisfy both parts. It’s been almost six years, but with that in mind I feel compelled to get this off my chest.

Warner Bros. Drops Teaser Trailer With Footage From 'Black Adam', 'The Flash', 'The Batman' And 'Aquaman 2'
Last year was an odd year for Warner Bros regarding film releases. All of their movies were released simultaneously in theatres and on HBO Max. As a result, the traditional way of measuring success, a box office metric, was out of the question. However, with theatre exclusivity returning in 2022 and the recent tease of all their big releases, Warner Bros sure has come out of the gate strong from a marketing standpoint.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness: Who Are The Members Of Marvel's Illuminati?
Now just over three months away from its release, the already considerable hype around Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness has grown with the release of the film's second trailer. Aside from a closer look at Wanda Maximoff's role in the film, as well as Steven Strange variants such as Defender and Sinister Strange, one of the most talked about moments in the trailer in which Strange is brought before a mysterious group, supposedly to answer for his multiverse-breaking actions in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and a voice declares:

Did You Know The Ancient Mythological History Behind This Marvel Character?
The comic book industry is vast in stories and characters. Marvel is no exception, but one of the most interesting things about Marvel’s characters is that they are not always just their own original characters. In fact, a few characters are based on centuries-old myths. Most of these characters are in the comic books and have not been brought to the screen. The recent movie Eternals is the first to bring some of these lesser-known Marvel superheroes based on myths to the screen. One of these characters is an eons-old mythological character Gilgamesh, played in the movie by Ma Dong-seok (also credited as Don Lee).

Which Director Understood Batman?. Top Story - February 2022.
Batman is one of the best characters in fiction. Not just comic books. Fiction; a tragic figure with identity issues, post-traumatic stress, perhaps sociopathy. Batman’s popularity has outlasted most of the heroes that debuted in his day because you can take him, drop him on an alien planet and he’d still be Batman. At first, he was a pulp hero; a crazy masked guy with a gun. This was wisely retconned, making Batman more layered, the reason he’s one of the most popular comic characters ever. But what makes Batman…Batman? The costume, Bruce Wayne’s handsome billionaire playboy persona, martial arts expertise; a man in peak physical condition who’s also a genius. He fights extravagant psychotic villains. He has complicated relationships with his butler/father figure, Alfred, and his surrogate Bat Family. He has a strict moral code, refusing to murder even the most violent criminals, and finally his compassion, the core of Batman. I’ve obsessed over him my whole life. I’m not exaggerating. It’s bad.

Robert Pattinson Teases 'The Batman' Sequel
Warner Bros. has a lot riding on The Batman. It is going to reset the continuity for the caped crusader after the most recent iteration. Writer and director Matt Reeves has been tasked with bringing this version of Batman to life and Robert Pattinson has an even taller task in making us believe in this version of the character.

Earlier this year it was announced DC comics would be killing off all but one of the current members of The Justice League in the final issue coming out in April of this year. Why 'Peacemaker' Is The Best DC TV Show To Date
DC movies have always been quite epic and dark and often lacking humor. Enter James Gunn and The Suicide Squad. James Gunn not only managed to keep the dark and gritty DC feel while injecting a bucket load of humor into the mix. The Suicide Squad was to DC what Guardians of the Galaxy was to Marvel. This writer was very excited when it was announced that James Gunn would be taking on a spin-off television show using the Peacemaker character.

On The Set Of HBO Max's 'Batgirl' | With Exclusive Behind The Scene Pictures
Despite my relatively small hometown of Glasgow not being Scotland’s capital and not as well known throughout the rest of the world, it has become somewhat of a popular filming destination for some big movies. In the last two years alone, it has seen the glitz and glamor of Hollywood on several occasions with the likes of The Batman (starring Robert Pattinson), The Flash (starring Ezra Miller along with Michael Keaton’s triumphant return to the role of the Dark Knight) and Indiana Jones 5 (starring the legend that is Harrison Ford) using the city center as an American backdrop.
