'Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania': Which Characters Are In The Most Danger?

The film is an important one, as both the opening chapter of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the true introduction of the Multiverse Saga's big bad, Kang the Conqueror, after his more affable variant, He-Who-Remains, appeared in the season one finale of Loki.

Scarlet Witch
Now that the MCU has finally discovered (and wasted) the power of Scarlet Witch the comic book world has caught back up. Her newest solo series is releasing and the world will hopefully get to see the power of the Scarlet Witch again. As far as we know this is going to be an ongoing series, the first granted to miss Wanda Maximoff. Up until now she has only received a limited solo run and a joint solo series with The Vision. We could certainly talk about why it took so long for Wanda to finally get her own ongoing series but I feel like we all know the answer already.

MCU Phase 4 Breakdown: The Desserts
Now that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has hit theaters by storm, the MCU's Phase 4 has finally concluded. A phase that gave marvel fans more content than all three previous phases combined. Now that it's all said and done, I think it's a good time for us to go over all of the highlights that came out of the first phase of the Multiverse Saga. Don't get me wrong.., there has been plenty of key moments, plotlines, character reveals, etc. that the overall fandom would consider misfires. Not to mention things that the community would call downright ugly mistakes. However, for this article, we're only going to focus on what I would call: The Phase 4 Desserts. Meaning all of the good stuff to come out of the phase, the stuff that made us fans look forward to the future of the MCU. I'm going to have to give you guys a spoiler warning; since we're going over the entire phase you might want to go and watch it all before reading this article. While Phase 4 is highly regarded among fans to be extremely convoluted, there has still been plenty of gems within this phase as well, so let's get into it, shall we?

Avatar: Whose the Best?
With new Avatar stories in the works, fans are both excited and nostalgic. New Avatars gives us more depth into the Avatar lore as well as enhance the incredible stories that already exist. We know that we will be getting 3 movies in the Avatar universe that will center around different Avatars, the first focusing on the Gaang. We also know that there is a new series in the works centered around the next Avatar in the cycle after Korra. That said I would like to dive into the quality of Avatar’s we’ve had so far. Black Panther: Background
With the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever the internet seems to be split into two camps. The sane people loved the movie and recognized it for the genius it is and the sociopaths incapable of critical thinking or emotion hated it. That said, one of the biggest criticisms before the movie was even released was that Shuri was taking up the mantle. However this was in fact a comic accurate event that happened long before Chadwick’s death and the rewrite of the movie. So I thought that I’d jump with some very necessary comics to read with Shuri taking the lead.

The film was released theatrically on 25 October 2022 and digitally in Hindi on 8 December 2022 on ZEE5.

Wasp Background
One of the founders of the Avengers, and its only female founding member, Wasp is finally getting the spotlight to herself. Wasp debuted in Tales to Astonish #44 in 1963. Though she had taken absences from the team she serves as one of the longest running Avengers and as its second longest leader. Now why exactly did it take so damn long for her to get her own solo series? She is in fact the last member of the founding Avengers to get their own solo series. She fell behind the men by DECADES. I don’t have to ask why because we all already know the answer, there is simply no other option, sexism. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that the only founding member of the Avengers (that first appeared in the 60s) to not have her own series until 2023 is the only woman on the team. She is so unbelievably important and impactful in the comics, yet here we are literally 60 years later and Janet is just now getting the spotlight.

I’ve mentioned on every platform I have that female lead and female fronted are two separate things. Before we embark on this list I wanted to clarify that this only includes female lead films. That means not just films with female leads but also with female writers or directors. In order to be considered a female lead film, there needs to be women on both sides of the camera.
