"I was simply meant to be in theater."The Riddler, Batman: The Riddle Factory (Matt Wagner, 1995) Some time ago my Nan called me over to put on one of her films: the 1947 Technicolor musical Mother Wore Tights. So I put on the DVD, made us both a cup of tea, and then sat down and watched the first twenty minutes of it with her. My curiosity was straightaway piqued by the character of vaudeville performer Frank Burt (played by Dan Dailey). Just take a look at the outfit worn by Dailey during one musical number:

New Jumanji Trailer: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Jumanji is an adventure movie that first came out in 1995 and instantly became a family favorite. Actors such as Robin Williams, Bonnie Hunt, Kirsten Dunst and Johnathan Hyde carried us through a deep and fantastic story that will forever stay in our hearts. Sadly I feel that the new movie coming out in 2017 - Jumanji: Into the Jungle - will fall way short of any such effect. Although not a complete loss, the sequel fails to capture the wonder and depth that made the original a timeless classic. Once upon a time, the James Bond film series was in trouble. Despite financial success, the series seemed to have sputtered somewhat with the last two Roger Moore Bond outings. When Moore confirmed he was leaving the role in December 1985, fans of the nearly 25-year-old franchise may have been left wondering what would happen to the series next. The answer came in the summer of 1987 when not only a new Bond film called The Living Daylights appeared but a new Bond as well. His name? Dalton. Timothy Dalton. The result was to be the beginning of a new era for the series.

Emma Stone A 'Mean Girl'?
Mean Girls was quite probably one of Lindsay Lohan's best works in her very brief filmography and continues to be well-loved today. With the likes of Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Tim Meadows as the beleaguered adults in the world of teens Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried, the chemistry between the cast was hard to deny. While there was a largely forgettable attempt to reconjure the magic of that group in 2011's television movie Mean Girls 2, there continues to be a clamoring for a real sequel to the original.

Nocturnal Animals with Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal Will Definitely Keep You Awake
Nocturnal Animals, written and directed by Tom Ford, begins with a rather large, fat naked woman dancing the stripper pole as part of an upscale LA art exhibit. Unsettlingly paradoxical, the metaphor does reveal itself as the drama eventually unfolds. In other words, there’s much to wince at in waiting for this 2016 tale of love lost and revenge to play out.
