What Charles Foster Kane, Alan Jackson, and the Buddha Taught Me About Living
Citizen Kane is an incredible piece of cinema. If you have not yet seen it, I strongly encourage that you do so. It is a great commentary for the life we tend to lead in the 21st Century. The film follows the life of Charles Foster Kane played by the legendary Orson Welles, who is the inheritor of a massive fortune.

The Women of 'Star Wars'
What is a feminist character? Most people define it as a female character that doesn’t care about her looks or romance. A woman that kicks ass and takes names. That is not wholly true. As humans, we all care about our looks to a degree and we all care about romance. It is part of the human experience. So, a character that cares about these things is not automatically defined as anti-feminist. To counter this, a woman that kicks ass and is fearless may feel feminist at first, however, this is not entirely true either. Fighting for what’s right is also a universal human experience and desire.

Could There Be Another 'Planet of the Apes' Movie?
In 2011, cinemas were hit with Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which made a thrilling trilogy. The series came to a conclusive end in 2017 with War for the Planet of the Apes, completing the story of our beloved protagonist Caesar. The film was a massive success and could potentially be the darkest film from the entire Planet of the Apes movie franchise. However, could there be another film?

Under Appreciated Films of History II
In my ongoing quest to bring under appreciated films to light, I've decided to highlight a film that is not as interesting for its merits as a film, but for the way that it can be used to view the era and culture in which it was made. Said film is the 1965 movie The East Is Red, which is actually more of a recording of a stage musical—or “song and dance epic” as they describe it—with a few shots in the beginning of the surrounding city and a large crowd of people coming in to watch the play.

Someone Please Save 'Harry Potter' from J.K. Rowling
If you didn't see Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, then you will be as confused as me who did see it. The story itself had the potential to be interesting as a solid prequel to the Harry Potter franchise, but it couldn't decide what it was about.

Margot Robbie to Play Barbie!
The idea of a live action Barbie film was announced in 2016. I guess Mattel wanted to create their own version of Life Size and if you hear about a movie based on a doll, you automatically think of Chucky or Talking Tina from The Twilight Zone.
