Memory (2022) Movie Review
With Nicolas Cage's recent resurgence and Bruce Willis' retirement, it seems that Liam Neeson may be the next actor to come under fire for his string of forgettable movies. In fact, his latest release, "Memory," is already his second film of 2022, and with upcoming projects such as "Retribution," "In the Land of Saints and Sinners," "The Revenger," and a "Cold Pursuit Sequel Project" listed on IMDb, it appears that he will continue to churn out similar thrillers for the foreseeable future.

Last The Night (Pacerville) (2022) Movie Review
The pandemic has brought the world to a standstill, and the film industry is no exception. Last the Night, also known as Pacerville, directed by Nick Leisure and written by himself and Tom Chilcoat, is set during the pandemic and stars Brian Austin Green in the lead role. However, it's not an over-exaggeration to categorize this movie as one of the worst movies in recent memory.

The Gray Man (2022) Movie Review
Ryan Gosling may not have played a superhero yet, but he gets closer than ever before in the mega-budget Netflix production “The Gray Man.” The streaming service's summer blockbuster is from the directors of “Avengers: Endgame,” Anthony and Joe Russo, and is based on the book by Mark Greaney. Netflix has opened not just their wallet, but an entire bank vault for the Russos to adapt the book with an eye to starting a new mega-franchise of their own. However, it’s becoming clearer and clearer that Netflix has too little creative oversight over projects like these, just letting creators run off with their money and not really caring about what they deliver.

The Black Phone (2022) Movie Review
At the age of 13, I experienced my first horror movie that truly left me trembling. It was Scott Derrickson's "Sinister," and even after rewatching it multiple times and seeing countless horror films since then, it still manages to send shivers down my spine. So, when I heard about "The Black Phone," a film directed by Derrickson, co-written by Robert Cargill, and starring Ethan Hawke, I knew I had to watch it.

Last Seen Alive (2022) Movie Review
Gerard Butler, the Scottish actor known for his roles in 300, Law Abiding Citizen, and Phantom of the Opera, has had his fair share of career highs and lows. While he has shown promise in certain roles, his poor choices in film have resulted in several lackluster performances over the years. Among his worst performances is his role in Last Seen Alive, a thriller that fails to deliver on every level.

Paradise Highway (2022) Movie Review
In Anna Gutto’s melodramatic thriller “Paradise Highway,” Sally (Juliette Binoche) is a big-rig trucker traversing America’s south. Sally worries deeply about her troubled brother Dennis (Frank Grillo), who is nearing parole. A few unknown factions within the prison thrash him and demand that his sister pick up and transport a package across state lines. Sally’s plans go awry when Leila murders a man at the drop-off location, sending the pair on the run to figure out how to remedy the situation before darker underworld forces find them.

Watcher (2022) Movie Review
The film "Watcher" by Chloe Okuno is a chilling and stylish thriller that captures the emotional disintegration of Julia, played by Maika Monroe. Julia is a young woman who has moved to Bucharest with her husband Francis, played by Karl Glusman. They have relocated because Francis is half-Romanian and speaks the language, but Julia is a newcomer who is disoriented and lonely. Her growing sense of uneasiness and dread is palpable, and it is clear that something is not right about the man in the apartment building across from hers, who is always staring at her.

Prey for the Devil (2022) Movie Review
Director Daniel Stamm's return to the horror genre with his new film Prey for the Devil has failed to impress, as it rehashes the same storyline as William Friedkin’s The Exorcist. Stamm attempts to deliver a demon-possession movie that fails to do much beyond recycling the familiar tropes of the genre.

The Last of Us
Imagine a world where a parasitic fungus threatens humanity, evolving to switch hosts from ants to humans as temperatures rise. This is the premise of The Last of Us, a post-apocalyptic TV drama with a steady and meditative pace that will keep you on the edge of your seat. While its zombie skeleton may remind you of The Walking Dead, its heart is more in line with Station Eleven.
