Top Five Roaring Twenties Books
Next year will be the one hundred mark since the 1920 New Year. We are officially heading into a modern world. At the time of the 1920's, there was prohibition, no one could sell alcohol but can have small quantities in their house. The flappers were the modern woman, short dresses and rolled stockings to their knees. Cigarettes and short hair were just a few of the more iconic embraces into the new turn of the century era.

Is Suzanne Collins destroying her legacy?
Suzanne Collins wrote one of the best YA series of the last decade. "The Hunger Games" was a thought provoking series commenting on the horrifying way we commodify violence - especially in relation to children and how we as a society have become numb to it. Now Collins is releasing a new book in the "The Hunger Games" universe called "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" about Coriolanus Snow as a young man, when the Hunger Games were still a new and shiny murder reality show.

Conceal, Don't Feel: A Twisted Tale
The Frozen Bandwagon. It is one that could not be avoided. I tried for as long as I could but upon seeing the movie the first time just a few short years ago, I was hooked. Not because it was Disney, not that I do not love Disney films, no it is because of the message of the movie. Frozen showed us all that love, true love isn't just romantic, but can be from family as well.

20 Books of 2020 (Part 2)
I have been up on my usual reading antics and I can tell you that part 2, numbers 21-40 is finished and we will be going through them just as we went through part 1 here: https://shopping-feedback.today/geeks/my-first-20-books-of-2020. So without me explaining too much I just want to say how I'm doing it 20 by 20 instead of shoving it all on at the end of the year and it adding up to 400 or something stupid like that and so here we are. You may see some surprises and you may not, but I'm trying to read wider into cultures now, so hopefully it's working. If you want to know more about my reading antics then follow my Instagram: @anniethebritindian. Also, if you could write me a message that you've seen the articles and that's why you're following that would be great.

Odysseus: The Man, The Myth, The Legend
I’ve been on quite a mythology kick lately. I have always loved mythology--I consider it to be a true passion of mine. From YA authors like Rick Riordan all the way back to the classics, I have always enjoyed reading about vengeful gods, terrifying monsters, and courageous heroes. I recently got my hands on a graphic novel version of Homer’s epic, “The Odyssey”, and I was absolutely captivated by the way this classic tale was brought to life.
