NieR: Automata Review
NieR: Automata, released February 2017, is a Japanese RPG emotional roller coaster. While it might draw you in with sex appeal, it will keep you with a gripping storyline (which consists of three unique, linear routes and a total of 26 endings), enchanting soundtrack, and existential commentary.

8 Games I Wanted to See Included with the Mini SNES
The news has hit that, as expected, Nintendo will be releasing a mini version of their Super Nintendo system later this year around the world. The new limited edition system will be shipped from the end of September to the end of the year after which, presumably, it will be discontinued much like the NES release that came out not too long ago. Included with the mini SNES will be twenty-one classic games, including the never before released Star Fox 2.

Dragon Warrior Monsters for the GBC
In this special retro review, I’m reviewing Dragon Warrior Monsters. This Gameboy Color game was originally released in Japan as Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry no Wonderland, and is the first video game in the Dragon Quest Monsters series. It was released in Japan by Enix on September 25, 1998, 2 years after Pokémon, and for some inexplicable reason, Dragon Warrior Monsters, and the whole Dragon Quest saga, just doesn’t seem to do as well in North America as some other games… games I consider to be lesser games, but anyway, this game was remade for the PlayStation as Dragon Quest Monsters 1+2 Hoshi Furi no Yūsha to Bokujō no Nakamatachi, but I’m just going to review the GBC version.

Halo 6's Story Needs to be Good
*CONTAINS SPOILERS* It's been almost two years since Halo 5: Guardians was released to a mostly positive reception from fans and critics alike and to this day, it is still a game with an incredibly active and thriving online multiplayer community which is growing even more thanks to Xbox's new 'Game Pass' service. But despite that positive reaction, there were still a few problems that I and many other longtime fans had with the game - specifically the story mode.

Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright
Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright is a game for the Nintendo 3DS that was released in Japan in 2012 and eventually released to the rest of the world in 2014. Having been a fan of both Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright, this game really peaked my interest. Even though their games are so different, they shared a fan-base and even before this game was in the works.

'Life is Strange': Why the Selfish Option Is an Okay Option
I had no idea what I was getting into, downloading ‘Life is Strange’ from Playstation’s store; it was the free game of the month, and I was up for a nice change from the usual 3 games I’d filter through. I enjoyed ‘The Walking Dead’, and this game had the same choice-making theme, so maybe I’d enjoy it as well.

Crystalis, originally called God Slayer: Haruka Tenkū no Sonata, was released by SNK in 1990. The story begins in 1997, because that was like so far in the future waaay back then, and war engulfs the world and destroys civilization, but miraculously, someone builds a flying tower. Are you kidding?

Roblox - The Birth of a New Era of Gaming?
Roblox is a massively multiplayer online gaming platform that allows it's users to browse through a selection of games and play them. The difference with this type of gaming is that the games on the front page change quite frequently and I wondered why. It is in fact, due to the ever-changing frequency of new games being made by none other than the users them self. The community that forms Roblox's fan base are made up of people who like to simply play the games, but there is another core part of Roblox that appeals to people as well and that is the fact that anyone can make a game and get paid for it.

'Friday the 13th' Game Review
Friday the 13th and Jason Vorhees, probably the second biggest horror franchise right behind Nightmare on Elm Street. The films, while some are better than others (I'd say the best ones are Part 2", Part 4: Jason Dies and Part 7 ala Jason vs Carrie) all (well except for part 9 and part 10) all have a certain atmosphere to them that makes even the worst of the series, that makes them just work. Camp Crystal Lake is extremely eerie at night, imagine being in that situation, imagine being in one of the camps from the films and trying to survive Jason. That's such a good, simple premise that's it amazing that it hasn't been done before as a video game. Or imagine BEING Jason and just straight up gutting counselors. That's the experience this game tries to duplicate and it does a fairly good job.
