Winning At Fandom At Any Age: The Cosplay Parents
This retired couple, now cosplaying our favorite fictional duos, prove you're never too grown up to do what you love. It's a dog-eat-dog world, right? You're an adult now. Being an adult means letting things go. And the first things to go are silly hobbies like geeking out over your beloved fandoms, going to conventions — or dressing up like your favorite characters! It's sad, but if you're ever going to be a productive member of society, you're just going to have to.

By The Goddess! This Wonder Woman Cosplay Might Be Sent From Heaven!
They say we're all Wonder Women, and it's true. Some of us just wear the costumes a little more obviously than others. Some of us go on epic quests to gather the materials, painstakingly handcraft the garments ourselves, don them, and strike heroic poses. (We call this "cosplay!") Some of us even have swords. Let me introduce you to one such warrior.

Osric Chau Rocks Some Stars and Stripes in an Amazing Captain America Cosplay!
You probably know and love Osric Chau from his work on Supernatural - but did you know he's also given his talents to the wonderful world of cosplay? At the recent VegasCon 2016, a Las Vegas convention celebrating all things Supernatural, Chau unveiled this fantastic work of cosplay love for another beloved icon, Marvel's Captain America. Images courtesy of Stardust and Melancholy Photography, and we are all grateful for their existence... because just look at them.

Once upon a Time... There Was an Amazing Disney/Star Wars Crossover Cosplay Shoot You Won't Want to Miss!
Fandom mashups have become pretty popular online. Can't really go far without getting hit with a "what if ___ met ____?" scenario or piece of art - and there's a reason for that. People love combining their favorite stories in their minds, taking familiar characters and putting them in new and exciting settings and wondering what might happen. In this case... a galaxy far, far away.

The Dead King Lives Again... As A Walking Work Of Undead Art!
You might remember makeup and prosthetics effects artist Josef Rarach from my past feature on his steampunk-esque undead creation, the clockwork-covered Zombie King. Last time, Rarach rocked the streets of Prague in a previous ZombieWalk, a huge convention and parade for talented undead cosplay, makeup and prosthetic artists.

This Mass Effect Cosplay Is Out Of This World!
I know, that title pun was an obvious reach, even for me - but I think I get a pass this time. Because like the rest of the world (or galaxy), I've had space on the brain for the past couple weeks. I know you know what I mean, come on - fine. Star Wars. I mean Star Wars, do I even have to say it? But while of course we're gonna keep rocking in a galaxy far, far away until the suns goes down, when I see a piece of fan-made awesome, especially from another long-time spacey favorite, I gotta share it, even if it's not what's making the planets go 'round. Good art is good art, regardless of fandom. But when it fits the sci-fi theme, that works out pretty nicely too.

Creative Cosplayer Feature: Ryoko-Demon
Now here's something neat. I've seen a lot of cosplay in my day, and I have to say, this artist, who goes by Ryoko-Demon on deviantART and facebook, is one of the best I've ever found. The hardest part of writing this article was picking images from her gallery - there are so many, and they're all wonderful! (Maybe a Part 2 will show up in the future!)

Donald Glover Is Spiderman...And So Is This Epic Miles Morales Cosplayer!
The internet is buzzing about the recent (and completely awesome) confirmation of Donald Glover as the voice of Spiderman incarnation Miles Morales on animated series Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors. It's about darn time, and while there's already been a bunch of great coverage about this on Moviepilot and tons of other places, I'm doing what I do best and focusing on the fans. Their reactions and initiatives are important and often brilliant - and that's what we get here in a gorgeous cosplay modeled by Nikolas A. Draper-Ivey.

This Amazing Spider-Man Cosplay Marriage Proposal Will Melt Your Heart
The second year of Titan Con held at Cal State Fullerton kicked off at the end of April and it was even bigger than last year. A lot of great cosplayers and photographers came out for the free event. Seeing a lot of nerds dressed up probably confused some of the students there who didn't know what was happening, but that's okay.

I Photograph Superhero Cosplayers, Here's Why Gwenom Is So Much Tougher To Shoot Than Spider-Man
I shoot Spider-Man cosplayers a lot. I’m willing to admit that it’s become my bread and butter when it comes to cosplay photography over the past year. There’s just something fun and charismatic about Spider-Man and the overall Spider-Verse to me. Spidey poses tend to be more dramatic than typical superhero poses, with someone just standing there looking steadfast and heroic.

What I Learned From Photographing Hyper Dedicated Spider-Man Cosplayers
In an effort do more adventurous things with my life, I started going to cons again this year. To say that it's been an interesting experience is a severe understatement. I've learned a lot of things along the way and have met some rather interesting people. One thing that stuck out to me, of course, is how insane the cosplay scenes have gotten.
