The Exclusion and Disrespect of Black Cosplayers in Arkansas
February is the start of 28 Days of Cosplay. For those who aren't familiar with what it is, it's a month where black cosplayers share their cosplays, as well as their experiences, celebrating their excellence, and encouraging everyone to support them. The hashtag #28daysofblackcosplay was started by a woman named Chaka Cumberbatch, also known as Princess Mentality Cosplay a few years ago. Now that I've explained that to everyone, there was something that I've noticed since I've started doing cosplay in 2014: an ongoing pattern that I never disclosed to anyone, especially to my cosplay friends or followers. Why is that, you ask? It was because of the fear of being "cancelled" or shamed by them. I'm a realist, so me sugarcoating the truth is not an option.

I saw a Marvel movie 100 times, in honour of Stan Lee, to help cope with my mother's death
Often when people talk about going to the movies, they often think of seeing a movie only once- maybe a few times at most, but even there it's a rare occurance. If someone sees a movie multiple times, it's usually because they a) have an unhealthy obsession, or b) want to break a world record, like a certain blogger who saw Avengers: Endgame 137 times. Needless to say, while I've yet to break a world record for movie-viewing (the current hold is 237 times for Avengers: Endgame, dwarfing the blogger in question!) That's an awful lot of times for a 3-hour movie), nevertheless, I've actually attempted seeing a Marvel movie 100 times. Seriously.

Avatar The Way of Water
Avatar: The Way of the Water is quickly making a name for itself as one of the top box office hits of the decade, following in the footsteps of its successful predecessor. However, the question remains, is it a good movie? While it may not be the best, it is definitely worth watching on the big screen. The visual effects are nothing short of spectacular and truly set the bar for future films. However, the writing leaves something to be desired. The plot feels rushed and the pacing is disorienting, leaving many viewers frustrated. The lack of character development also undermines the sense of stakes that the film hopes to convey in its final scenes. The film's soundtrack also falls short, failing to enhance the grandeur of the environments it explores. Despite these shortcomings, the film's ability to captivate its audience is undeniable.
