What A Handsome Man You Are) is a 2009 South Korean television series starring Jang Keun-suk, Park Shin-hye, Jung Yong-hwa of CNBLUE, and Lee Hong-gi of F.T. Island. The series follows fictional musician band, A.N.JELL, and how the relationship between its members changes when a girl posing as her twin brother joins the band. It aired on SBS from October 7 to November 26, 2009, for 16 episodes. Ko Mi-nyeo (Park Shin-hye) has lived at an orphanage with her twin brother, Ko Mi-nam, since childhood after their father died. Years later, Mi-nam becomes a music idol and Mi-nyeo lives in a junior nun dorm to fulfill her dream of becoming a nun. One day, Mi-nam successfully auditions for and wins the "A.N Entertainment" vocal auditions to join the musical band A.N.Jell. However, he must leave for the United States in order to correct his botched plastic surgery. Mi-nam's manager, Ma Hoon-yi (Kim In-kwon) approaches Mi-nyeo and requests her to pose as Mi-nam for a month till he recovers. Mi-nyeo is against it at first, but eventually agrees, as a path to fame would give the twins an opportunity to find their mother. Thus, Mi-nyeo poses as her brother and joins the band A.N.Jell, where she meets its members: the arrogant Hwang Tae-kyung (Jang Keun-suk), the gentle Kang Shin-woo (Jung Yong-hwa) and the bubbly Jeremy (Lee Hong-gi).

What Is The Funny?
Here I am on another Saturday night, staring at a screen and wondering what to do with myself. I spent most of the day at a book sale for a community organization and have just finished two separate earlier reads that I had put aside for far too long. I have also willfully sacrificed some other books for Montreal’s Livre-Service book boxes (a perfect way to contribute to public reading and a method of discovering what else is out there to cudgel the brains). As I cleaned up, I discovered some writings I had left on a shelf and wondered about for quite some time: S.J. Perlman’s New Yorker writings were there, a torn back cover and an intact front cover with the title The Rising Gorge. I had only read two or three pieces in it before abandoning it as a well-intentioned work of comedy that did not make me laugh. And now, as I attempted to read something light – Angela Carter and Mohsin Hamid were the writers I had imbibed earlier – I found the same difficulties facing me. I simply did not find it funny.

Is 'Weird: The Al Yankovic' Story the story that Weird Al Yankovic deserves?
WEIRD: A Weird Al Story is pretty fun if you are a fan of Weird Al. It rides the line between being a parody of biopic movies, while also incorporating elements of Al’s real life. I think it sometimes struggles to balance the tone, and I think it could’ve benefited from being a little bit more weird. I think in parodying the biopic format, you kind of end up just making another generic biopic with different words. It only has a handful of Al’s songs, which are all tied to the plot in certain ways. It works, but I also would’ve liked to see a few more of his songs. But I also realized it was probably a challenge to get the rights to use many of his songs. Yes they are parodies, so there might be some wiggle-room. But also, Al always gets permission to parody other people’s songs, and there are also real people portrayed in the movie like Madona, so I imagine there might have been a lot of legal obstacles to work around. The movie is also super low budget, which occasionally shows.
