Let’s start off by saying this… Stranger Things Season 4 blew my expectations out the water. I mean I had no idea that this season would present this amazing of a story and the acting this season was stellar and visuals were out of this world!! The villain this season we all know as Vecna, who was quite menacing and had no issue killing his marks and definitely left a huge dent on Hawkins that none of our heroes will quite forget.
This entire season was a joyride from top to bottom. We received season 4 in 2 volumes. Volume 1 first came out May 27th of 2022. Volume 1 did amazing and was watched in over 70+ countries and #1 worldwide which is huge for a Netflix show seeing as we do not run into those kind of high ratings for shows on Netflix much at all. So seeing that high of a rating definitely adds on to the fact that Stranger Things Season 4 is sure a season to tune into. We had the funny and eventful storyline of Will, Mike, Jonathan and Argyle and the military tracking Eleven and wanting to take her. We dealt with Max being marked by Vecna and dealing with a lot of mental trauma and fear as she wrote letters to everyone in the friend group believing she would not make out alive from Vecna’s nightmare, but we thankfully saw Max make it out alive due to an amazing save by the one and only Kate Bush: Running Up That Hill!! We then had the story with Hopper in Russia as we saw the events at the end of season 3 show us how he survived and then how he was captured and taken to Russia and tortured and forced to slave away. Joyce received a message in the beginning of Volume 1 that indicated Hopper was alive and embarked along with Murray to Russia to go find him, where that whole storyline was an adventure you just have to see if you have not seen it! A lot was explained and told in volume 1 as we were told who Vecna really was and his orgin story and how he was taken to Dr.Brenner(papa) and experimented on and became (001) and after that Brenner was on a quest to make every kid just as special if not better than 001. We also found out how 001 viewed the world as corrupt and why he wants to take everything over and volume 1 concluded with an amazing fight between Eleven as a kid and Vecna(001) and showed her sending him to the upside down where there he became the true form of Vecna after being exposed to the upside down for so long and right before the credits roll, we see the 001 written on Vecna’s arm to let you know that Vecna is 001.
After that, we all waited about a month for Volume 2 to come out which gave us the last 2 episodes of a 9 episode total season with each episode having a runtime of over an hour long and the final episode being quite literally a movie with it running at 2 hours and 30 minutes. Part 2 opened up with Nancy being trapped in Vecna’s world after being marked at the end of volume 1. Vecna was showing Nancy his backstory after letting her know she was close to finding out the truth, so he proceeded to her his life as a kid and how everything turned out the way it did. As part 2 started, Nancy tried to escape out of the trap she was in, but was locked in the experiment room and strung to the chair where Vecna showed Nancy the future of Hawkins and the destruction he promised to bring on it and to have her tell Eleven he is coming.
As we continue the conclusion of season 4, we get taken back to Eleven, who now remembers everything to do with the past and how 001 killed everyone and not her as a kid. She realized he was the monster and Owens then showed Eleven what Vecna was up to the entire time she was in the memory scape getting her memory’s and powers back. She wanted to leave then to save everyone, but was then injected and passed out due to Dr.Brenner not wanting her to go yet as he deemed her “unready”. The military who was after Eleven in Volume 1 ended up finding them and took Owens captive and as Brenner tried to run with Eleven, he was shot down and killed. Before they could get Eleven, she brought down the military helicopter and destroyed them. Then a heartfelt reunion was shown as we saw Eleven reunite with Mike, Will, Jonathan and Argyle.
After that they all made their way back to Hawkins. Then in Russia, we had a recuse from Murray and Joyce who got Hopper out of the Russian prison, just to have to go back there anyways to kill all the demigorgons that were there. So to conclude this recap/review, we saw the heroes go to the upside down to fight Vecna and we saw Max get possessed again where ultimately he almost killed her, but thanks to Eleven stopping him, she saved her just barely. Steve, Nancy and Robin then attacked Vecna as he was in his stopped state and Nancy delivered multiple shots to Vecna as they set him on fire and we received an amazing 2 shot sequence with Kate Bush playing as Nancy and Hopper both fought their own villains and the song ended with them both getting the kill. But Vecna was able to get the last kill with Max as the seal broke and Hawkins then split and the upside down world was now linked with Hawkins. Eleven was not saying goodbye to Max as she then proceeded to bring her body back from the brink of death. The ending concluded with Mike and the crew coming back to see Hawkins destroyed and we then saw everyone visit the hospital where we see Lucas reading to Max, who’s now in a coma after Eleven saved her body. They don’t know if she will ever wake up, but they try to have hope.
We then get take to Hopper’s old cabin where they decide to house up and keep Eleven hidden and they clean up the cabin and Eleven sits in her old room in the cabin trying to see if she can find Max and sends her, but sees she can’t and breaks down. As she does she hears a walking noise and the one and only Hopper opens the door and we finally get the reunion we all waited for since the beginning of season 4. The last scene we see is Will sensing that Vecna is still alive and that what he has planned is not over and that they need to kill him to officially stop him. He senses him outside and the last shot is with Nancy, Jonathan, Hopper, Joyce, Mike, Will, and Eleven all staring at the upside down leaking into Hawkins and the beginning of the end to a beautiful story.
After watching the entire season, my rating is a 9.5/10. There was only a few complaints with one being what we all felt, which was we wanted to see more of the Mike, Will, Jonathan and Argyle storyline as it seemed they took a backseat this season, especially Will seeing as he is a huge part to the story overall. And second, being that for me personally I wish Vecna killed a few more people, but that’s a tiny issue. More or less, this season in my opinon is better than season 1 as each episode was long, but worked out well as the story was well written, visuals were amazing, acting was stellar and each new addition to the show was perfect. And before we conclude, I did not forget about Eddie everyone!! It was just too sad to explain, but he was definitely a fan favorite of mine and I wish he could’ve been in Season 5, as I know he would’ve been a hero then.
So, we have a long wait until season 5 I’m sure as we saw season 4 took more than 2 years to perfect and I would not be surprised if it had a 2024 release date, as that would be a fair wait time for the conclusion of this amazing story.

Shrooville
The story begins in the small town of Shrooville which is set in the vast futuristic year of 2040. There was a boy named Rex who was quite the traveler and he traveled from biome to biome. Rex arrived at Shrooville on a sunny afternoon on the exact day and time of March 15, 2040. Rex traveled inside of his flying Porsche. Yes, there are now flying cars!! Oh how technology has advanced in the last decade. But we see Rex land in Shrooville and as he gets out of his car, he looks outside at the beautiful view of Shrooville. The view is very fast and colorful and there are many trees each with unique colors and symmetry to them. One tree is green with shades of blue and purple and behind it is a tree that is yellow with blue and red trails around it. The flowers on the ground are of blue and pink and the buildings are very tall and bright. Each building created differently, but large enough to house over 10 people. The biome of Shrooville is surely a sight to see and a very much livable place. This is the first time Rex has come across a livable biome. Every biome he has encountered was destroyed or empty. There was very little remains of what was left, so for Rex this was special and it brought him joy. Rex may have finally found a place to stay after months of traveling. Rex was born on June 16th, 2025 and he grew up with no parents. Rex was left with no home and began traveling at the age of 6. He looked desperately for a place to call his new home, yet never found a home. But on the joyful day of May 13th, 2026, he found a place to call his home. It was in a small, but welcoming town called BrewTown. Rex lived there up until 2039 on the month of September and the 16th day. A very large superstorm destroyed the entire town and left it in ruins. All that remained were a few signs and little pieces of houses, but everything else was gone. Rex lost his home that day and was left back to travel for over 5 months until he found Shrooville. Now, Rex believes there may be hope yet again as he found this new world. Rex continued to take in the bright and colorful view as more cars flew into the world. Rex made it to the entrance of Shrooville and was greeted by a young and beautiful woman who said hello to him and let him into the place. Rex kept walking around as he saw hundreds of people all outside walking around. Kids were playing in the grass, parents watched their kids and even joined in on the fun as they played tag, bean bag toss, raced each other and played with their puppy’s they owned. Rex walked through the biome before finding a nice house that said “free to own” and Rex decided to claim the free house. I mean wouldn’t you if you saw it was free? So, Rex opened the door and the place was huge. It had a nice teal window and huge king size bed with extra cover and blankets folded on a tall shelf by the bed. On the top of the shelf, there was a lamp which was off, since the room already shined bright. Then as he explored the house, he saw a huge kitchen along with a huge living room. Then the bathroom, which as you can guess was also huge. Rex loved the place as he layed on his bed and watched the first program that broadcasted on there. It was a looney tunes cartoon and Rex just smiled and was happy to finally find a place to live for the first time in 6 months that he could call home. Rex found a new home in the biome of Shrooville and found everuday to be a new opportunity filled with endless possibilities. This is the first time Rex felt alive in months. As 2 years passed, Rex was now a delivery driver and delivered fruits and vegetables to the residents of Shrooville. Rex ended up dating the beautiful woman at the entrance of Shrooville, Mia. Rex and Mia both lived their lives together as Rex delivered and Mia helped him process orders and oversee what he did. They both worked well together and continued to live their lives together. After work, Rex stood outside and just admired the view. The beautiful Sunny view of Shrooville and the tall buildings and colorful trees and flowers. Rex looked and Mia joined him outside and they both stared at the beautiful view as more people entered into the biome. The biome grew and grew as years passed and the population grew from hundreds to thousands and more houses were built along the way, so residents could be housed. Some houses fit 1-2, some fit 3-4 and the largest ones could fit up to 12. So there were many places to go to and some even lived in their RV’s because they felt happy there. But all was well for Rex now as he became happy in his new life in Shrooville along with his beautiful girlfriend and job he loved in a now large and astounding Shrooville!! So, what are you waiting on? Come to Shrooville now and begin your new chapter in life. There are many possibilities in this biome where you’ll see that beauty is of a gem.

Wild Card Weekend Recap: What Happens Now?
I think I figured out why I love Wild Card Weekend so much. It's because it's the first playoff anything of the calendar year. The NFL season starts in the fall, and once upon a time, the champion was crowned either on or slightly before New Year's. The evolution of the NFL schedule has resulted in the playoffs starting just into the New Year, and currently, the final week of the season falls on the first weekend of the New Year, with Wild Card Weekend coming a week after that. So yes, chronologically, the NFL's Wild Card Weekend serves as the first playoff anything of the calendar year.
